This is our second year at TNS Academy and we could not be happier. This year the kids have an elective, either Shakespeare or Musical Theater. We have Yoga for PE (no tedious, poorly-managed team sports classes at TNS!), Gardening, Choral Music, Robotics, Sign Language, and Art. The kids especially love our outstanding music teacher and art teacher. No child is left alone to struggle if she needs a different way to learn, and no child is held back if she needs to accelerate in a subject. We gave up on a so-called good school when we followed Teresa to join TNS, and it was a great decision. She is an experienced teacher and administrator who shows nothing but the utmost respect toward every parent and every child, always. She is creative, curious, and kind. She never stops working to make each student s learning better, deeper, and more meaningful.

We were very lucky to join TNS Academy for its inaugural year. The school has run so smoothly and productively all year. TNS offers an incredibly complete curriculum consisting of great academics and diverse electives. There are many opportunities for the kids to make presentations, perform, create, go on field trips and interact with subject specialists. Each child gets ample individual attention and coursework differentiation, while learning to work together as a group -- a great balance. The kids and families of TNS Academy are all really nice folks. It would be hard to find a more relaxed, encouraging and supportive environment for your kids.

Teresa Kapelle, founder and lead teacher at TNS, has a wonderful gift for knowing what your child needs to be appropriately challenged and encouraged, and handles the awesome responsibility of educating your child with skill and grace. We love the small class environment and have found it very conducive to learning. Our daughter loves the specials, especially dance, choral and drama. We wholeheartedly recommend TNS.

TNS Academy has far exceeded our expectations. Founder, Teresa Kapelle, is a saint and better yet the most well-rounded, caring, joyful, respectful teacher on the planet

TNS offers an challenging, well-rounded curriculum. Small classes allow for individualized attention but the kids are not 'on their own'. The classroom is fun without being 'too busy'. Both of my children have been taught by the owner/head teacher Mrs. Kapelle (formerly of The Isely School and The Girl's School of Austin) and have been so well-prepared for the next step. The extra activities are great - engineering, fencing, The Monday Academy, foreign language, dance, art, choral... best private school bargain in Austin.
