Unlike the other parents here, I have nothing bad to say about this school. Then again, my son is special needs and is in their special needs program so I may be seeing things from a different perspective. My son's teacher has done wonders with him and he has made tremendous progress in the last two years. The school has always worked well with us on all issues and we have never had a problem with the school staff or other parents. I personally like the school from what I have seen, but I could be one of the rare few with a good experience.

This school is hands down terrible. If you care about the child attending school, find another school. All they care about is TAKS. The poor teachers do the best they can with what little they have. The parents are never around and the discipline problems are like no other. These kids are the most disrespectful I have ever seen. The parents feel entitled to everything for free. DON'T send anyone you care about to this school.

This school was so bad that after three months I got fed up and moved to another state as Texas has this crap of bussing students all over town to make them look better on paper. This school was so bad in the teachers lied, principial was non response and the school itself was in need of repairs. DONT LET YOUR CHILDREN GO HERE!!!!

this is by far one of the worst public schools ever. while the principal has good intentions, the teachers are allowed to yell, berate, and belittle the students. kids talk back to teachers and spend most of the day taunting each other. it is horrid.this school should be shut down, revamped and remodeled. shame on AISD for allowing this school to remain open. even the crossing guard doesnt care about her job as she barely walks the kids across the street. the school is attempting to change, but that is years out. there is no parental involvement and no one seems to care about the kids.school grounds are dangerous and strangers are allowed to march through the playground at any given time due to the public busstop near school campus.something needs to be done about this school!

Winn Elementary School is a school that is struggling to climb the educational ladder. We have a good principal and assistant principal but need more resources for our children. Many parents are low income and a vast majority of them do not speak much English. This school has not rated well on the required tests that our children are taking and I am afraid that they will only fail when they are out in a setting to compete with children from other areas that have all the resources and educational aids available to them. Winn needs help.
