My two children have really enjoyed their years at Patton. The teachers are wonderful and the involvement of the parents (PTA) seems to be more than most schools that I know of.
I had always thought Patton was a good school. Now that we're there in kindergarten I'm not very happy. It seems that the quality of education is acceptable, although I think the children's assignments could be more interesting and not so rote. My child says school is boring and I can see why with the work that comes home. The children at the school have been mean to my child several times. I am considering moving to another school because of the unkindness I have seen and issues with the administration. All of that said, I would say overall Patton is an ok school, but it is not living up to the reputation I had heard about. Parent involvement is mediocre. Art, music-great. PE-ok.
My daughter was new last year at Patton and she had a great experience. She enjoyed the other children and made good friends. The teachers were tough but fair. I thought the homework level was adequate and still left time for outside play with friends.
WONDERFUL!! My daughter attended Patton for the 5th grade. The teachers were concerned, attentive and my daughter learned so much under their care. I would recommend Patton to anyone wanting a quality education for their child.
The staff, administration, parents and students at Patton are wonderful. The level of dedication and enthusiasm is high and parents are encouraged to be a part of their children's learning experiences. We've had terrific teachers who keep our daughter challenged and interested in learning, while the many activities make her year fun. The district/state keeps narrowing down freedom to teach creatively, but these teachers and administration keep looking for ways to achieve their goal of excellence. Parents fill in the gaps when it can't be done in the course of a class day.
My son transferred from another school to Patton- what a wonderful difference! The staff and teachers are caring, involved and committed to their students and very responsive and accepting of parent involvement. Lots of parent participation at this school.
My child is in Kindergarten this year and he loves it. His teacher and all teachers are all very caring and very involved. I noticed that alot of parents are actively involved in the everyday activities and are encourged to participate. The pricinpal is great, very personable. Lots of school spirit.
