Teacher quality
Principal leadership
Parent involvement
We have sent 3 sons to Hope Lutheran School and we can recommend it as a great School with high academic standards, high parent involvement, and more extra curriculum activities than we have had at other schools. Having worked at other schools I found Hope's teachers stood above the rest and were outstandingly dedicated. The class size is small enough that your child gets close loving attention and consistent discipline. I especially appreciated how the staff taught my children to aspire to be hard workers by example. When my sons graduated to high school we found they were much better prepared than their friends from public school and could handle the advanced classes. Hope was just what we needed in a school. We thank God we found it.
Excellent School, The Teachers and Principal are very wonderful leaders for the students the student teacher ratio is very low. Its a family oriented everyone knows the students by first name they never hesitate. Hope Lutheran takes great strides to make sure the work is challenging as well as fun and exciting. Students at Hope are strongly encouraged to get involved in afterschool activities ,enter academic contests and programs. The school function on parent and Teacher working together to improve the academic learning of the students.
The principal of Hope is very highly thought of by the parents of the students of Hope. His high involvement and dedication to the students are constantly spoken of. The school has a diverse student body.
There used to be high quality teacher workforce, until some retired or were forced to leave. Now, Concordia graduates with a B.A. and marginal intelligence teach your children. The student body will have a lot of inner-city kids whose parents bring them to Hope to keep them out of trouble. As a result, don't expect bright children to receive any special attention or academic challenge. The academic resources of the school is quite limited. Hope went through a severe financial crisis in the late 1990s due to fiscal irresponsibility, and the school hasn't recovered since.
We have not been able to find a school with the solid leadership we experienced at Hope Lutheran. Mr. Glienke does an outstanding job of mentoring not only as an administrator but as an Ambassador of Christ. We miss Hope! And we may come back if it is in God's Plan! Blessings to all of you at Hope!
