lacking sound education in upper grades. need to update books and stop having kids learn in the hall due to lack of space.

I was worried that my child's needs were not being meet in a public grade school. In public school, my child would go weeks without learning anything new. I wanted him to have more than just an average education. At Strickland the kids start learning parts of speech, diagramming sentences in 1st grade and algebra in 6th grade. If you are looking for a school that will hold your child accountable for their work and give them a strong foundation in reading, writing, and arithmetic; plus is very affordable then consider Strickland as an option.

We have our other child at another very fine school here in Austin. However Strickland gets far more out of my little ones whom attend here. Its truly a find. If you want your children to learn to read, write, and recite mathmatics like a whizKid.. Strickland is likely producing the most capable children at these skills in Austin.

As a former student, the decision to send my 4 yr old to Strickland was 'no-brainer'. They set a strong foundation and love for the Word of God, you could not ask for a better start for your precious child. My son has even began to teach my 3 yr what he has learned! The teachers are loving and such a blessing! I couldnt ask for a better start for my children's future!

The teachers are wonderful and they truly care about the childeren. It is a fantastic christian school and the price is just right. If your child is average, they may struggle. The kids that go here will be the future rocket scientists and nuero-surgeons of the country.

I am an almunae and had a great experience there. They allowed children to truly exceed without preconceived ideas regarding what young children are and are not capable of accomplishing.

This school is incredible. They provided an optimal environmnt for my 5 year old daughter to learn. She learned how to read this year in K-4 and more importantly was taught the Word of God. The teachers are so caring but yet keep order in the class. I highly recommend it.

Class sizes tend to be large (20+ students), but the teachers are excellent.

Strickland has a terrific academics program especially in the early years. Children in K4 through 2nd grade gain a great foundation for the rest of their school careers. My children were proficient at reading and arithmetic by the end of 1st grade! While the school does not offer much in extracurricular activities, it does provide a P.E. program, computer, and music as well as several creative outlets that teachers oversee. I like the fact that my children have received a solid academic foundation to build upon while growing in character. The teachers are very caring and helpful. I would highly recommend this school to parents seeking a challenging curriculum for their children.

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
