Hyde Park has been a great fit for my kids. We have only been there one year, coming out of top-ranked public schools. What we have received at HP is a good education, positive environment, balanced lifestyle, teachers who care, and an opportunity to be involved in as many activities as we desire. Coaches are positive role models, teachers are available and the administrative staff is open to listening to your concerns. There is no such thing as a perfect school, but this comes pretty close.

My son transferred to Hyde Park beginning his junior year. He/we were nervous about him starting at a new school. We/he were so pleasantly surprised with the helpful and friendly environment. Our son had come from the "best" public high school in town and had felt completely lost in the masses of kids. After 3 weeks at Hyde Park he came downstairs one morning and announced that his "old self" was back. He shared that he realized that his teachers really cared about him and his learning. He made National Honor Society that first semester and we are still so grateful for having our son back. Without hesitation I would recommend Hyde Park High School to any family.

Never go to this school unless your child is an excellent athlete or involved with the church or school faculty. They focused only on sports and have favoritism. Also, students don't get along with each other unless your child is part of it. Don't waste your money for this school.
