We moved from out of state a little over a year ago and went thro' pretty much the same things. For more natural beauty, you have to be on the west side of Austin which is the beginning of "hill" country. However, the prime west close to the city is very expensive and is part of the famed Eanes school district. So, your choices for good schools and affordable homes are in the northwest and southwest of Austin. We decided on a home in the southwest based on proximity to work. Good luck with your move.81467
