As first a parent and now a grandparent, Liberty Elementary puts the need of the child first. The teachers are very understanding of each child's needs and help them in every way to further their education.
Liberty Elementary uses Love and Logic with its students and works with the parents on explaining what and how they use it in the classroom and how we can use it at home. The staff is easy to talk to and do their best to work with you in any situation.
I think Liberty Elementary has a very caring, loving staff. I have several grand children that have & are nowing attending there. I think they teach with great care for the children.
Simply put....Outstanding Teachers! Mrs. Cantey is the most amazing Teacher I have ever known in the 16 yrs of my childen going to school! BRAVO! Christine Koch
Great school with great, compassionate teachers!
my daughter is in her 4th year at Liberty Elementary. overall its been a good school, and i'm a very protective mom. if i think my kid is being picked on, watch out. but she's been treated pretty well. i dont allow them to use corporal punishment on her, and they have respected my wishes. there's always something extra going on for fun. they have feild trips and parties, family night and math night, lots of things to keep them occupied throughout the school year. no, i'm not totally pleased with everything, but when i'm not, all i have to do is schedule a meeting with her teacher, and usually the problem gets better. so yes, i think Liberty Elementary is a good school overall. we have made a lot of happy memories there so far.
This school has a new principal who is wonderful, very involved and making good changes. Many of the teachers do a great job. There are some who don't handle the stresses as well and get quite upset with the children. This could use improvement. Because the income level in our area is so varied, the school also is varied. We have the very poor and the very rich. Half the time the teachers have to be more concerned about whether some of their kids have eaten breakfast or lunch, rather than focusing on the education aspect. The class sizes are too large for the attention needed for alot of these children. My children enjoy the other kids but get frustrated with alot of busy work and studying for tests instead of things they really want to learn about.
