excellent school !! excellent personal and great programs, my kids are very happy at school.
If you want your child to learn responsibility, character, and self-accountability, you will love Victoria Walker. If you want your child to get an A+ for showing up and disrupting class, then you won't like Victoria Walker. My child does well there, despite the disruptions from other people's children. My child is there to learn, not to play. Good Job, Victoria Walker!
I so much agree with the post from December 2008. We sound like we have similar stories and one year later imagine that. The staff or teachers can use hard language to our children and when we ask for answers they find some excuse to write it off with. Have you noticed though once you start that ball rolling that trouble seems to follow your child and every lil thing they do they are disclipined for? I sure have. The phone calls that school makes to my phone during the day for non sense is really annoying when they will not answer their actions why should we? Stop shifting the blame Victoria Walker and own up to some of your issues at hand. Start treating those kids with dignity and respect. Mothers please if you value your child just drop in and you'll see it yourself.
I have never been so please with a public school as I am with Victoria Walker Elementary. My children are doing so much better in school and their grades are improving. I love how involved and dedicated the teachers are with the children.
When my children first started attending this school I thought very highly of it. Now it is my opinion that many of the teachers, but not all are abusive of the authority that they have. Some of them are more concerned with not being able to control the child than to find out why the child is having difficulty with any given problem. I am finding that if there is a problem with the child they are quick to be deciplined, but if the authority figure has done something unacceptable and a parent wants answers there is always an excuse for what they do or no response at all to the parent. If there are other parents out there that have similar feeling please contact me.
