I enrolled my daughter there, and she says she has problems, first of all the teachers are turkish and she can't even understand them! Her P.E teachers makes the whole class run for 2 hours without stopping, and my daughter also says the other P.E teacher makes the kindegardeners run a mile! She says the lunch is not enough and served cold,so now my daughter goes to marshall and she says its a better school than Harmony.

Best school in Beaumont! My son went there for 2 years and we loved his teachers, the staff, and the students. My child struggles with anxiety issues and a learning style that is not catered to in public schools. The teachers here did everything to ensure that my child got the most out of the school year. I never had to wait for a meeting with the teacher and they were always encouraging my child. Even other teachers that were not his own knew who he was. Loved the personal attention! I wish all schools were like HSA Beaumont.

I don't know how any person could have a problem with this school. It is WONDERFUL. We were frustrated with the public school they previously attended (btw -- it wasn't Beaumont ISD,) So much emphasis was put on sports, but at HSA the focus is completely on education. My children were easily placed in gifted programs in the public schools and continue to excel at HSA. The difference is that they actually have to work for their grades now. The teachers are as invested in the childrens' success as the parents. My only hesitation was being a bit leery of the Muslim influence. Religion is not discussed to the children and the teachers respect our Christianity. We are definitely the winners here, my children attend what feels like a private school that offers a diversified multicultural atmosphere without paying private school tuition. My 8th grader has already visited numerous college campuses and is excited about his future, which looks to be very promising!

This school has been extraordinary, and my kids have flourished in this school so much that I wouldn't dream of leaving the area until they have graduated. They have many of the same problems as other schools, just less of them. The dedication of the teachers is unmatched anywhere else locally. My kids have spent a month in Turkey learning the language (my youngest is conversational after only one year), visted Harvard, MIT, & Rice University and each time came back inspired. This school has broadened their horizons. Good Job HSA!

Harmony Science Academy of Beaumont was a nightmare for my two stepchildren. My husband and I spoke to the principal, and wrote a letter to him regarding our disappointment. Of course, afterwards we enrolled our children in(to) another school the morning this letter was sent. While removing our own children, we saw a woman (of 5 other parents) who was removing her child, 5 years old, who came home hungry, because she did not have her lunch money. 'She was starving, ' said her mother. 'Starving.' (I eventually discovered via the main office that the principal at the time our letter was written was only a fill-in, because they administration could not find a more suitable fit at the time; my husband and I received apologies and were asked to keep our children enrolled at HSA Beaumont which we declined).

Harmony Beaumont is a Recognized school. The state adjusted the ratings after reviewing some information. This is not the school for you if you are looking for sports. The extracurricular activities are science and math related clubs.

Every school has problems and HSA is no exception. The difference at HSA is that the parents are involved and if you address a problem in a professional manner with the principal, then he will do his best to resolve the issue. They are still experiencing a bit of growing pains as they add a grade every year, but next year they will have K-12 completed and the focus will be on refining what is already a program better than the public option and as good as some of the private options.

I currently have a child enrolled at HSA to which I have decided to enroll in either a public or private school. This school is lacking a lot as a whole! There appear to be no professional and/or adult guidance. I often feel the children run the school. Aside from that there's no athletic dept. I simply strongly feel it's not a well rounded school that focus on every aspect of the child. Yes every school has it's problems as a previous post stated, however, I truly believe there are many other schools (public or private) that are far better. Lastly, HSA is an Academically Acceptable school. Parents there are far too many, Recognized and Excemplary schools that would be more suitable for your child.

We are thrilled that HSA has come to Beaumont. Teachers and administration are supportive and adaptable and very enthusiastic. The environment is structured so that the children learn academically as well as socially. There is a high level of parental involvement, which I feel is key to creating a complete educational system. We highly recommend this school.
