As a parent of a student that attended Dunbar, I was very dissatisfied. As a child I attended Dunbar and Dunbar was a very good school with very caring administration. My daughter is a very intelligent student, but once she passed the kindergarden her grades began to suffer. I had to change her teacher several times to get to a teacher that was more structured, organized, and caring. The classroom sizes were ricidious. Sometimes there were 20-25 students to a class and tutorials were the worst no one on one instruction at all. I can really go on and on discussing Dunbar, but after reading my comment you will understand my concern as well as my disapproval for this school, if deciding on a school choose another. A concern parent
I am so so proud that my child attends Dunbar. It has made my child feel so special and that she really is somebody and that she can be anything she wants to be. Thank you Dunbar Staff and especially to the principal Mrs. Williams me as a parent love you so much. Keep up the great work
Teachers are very enthusiastic about teaching students and give 110% efforts and energy to student achievement & success!
Dunbar Elementary school is a school that children are strongly encouraged to excell in academic studies as well as after school activities. The teachers work very hard to ensure that the children are properly placed in order to advance their learning skills to the best of the childs abilities. My child is out of district but I insisted that she attend Dunbar because of the care and concern for her. The teachers also have an open door policy enabling the parents to speak with them when a problem occurs so that preventive measures are set in place, thereby keeping problems from repeating themselves. The children are also placed in settings of leadership preparing them for the future. Way to go Dunbar.
A wonderful school to watch your child learn and grow. Thank you to the staff for being so caring and respectable to the children and their parents. May God continue to Bless!
