I think that this was a great experience for me. It teaches young people to be more self-reliant. It isn't necessarily the best for young people that don't put an importance for education or would rather not learn. Most of it is based on reading workbooks which can make math a little harder for some but I graduated before the invention of YouTube how-to videos. I worked a job full time and graduated on time and think this is a great school!

This is a homeschool coop, NOT an accredited private school in any way, shape or form. My stepson was sent here by his mother for three years and, at 12 years old, can barely read. In Texas, it is almost impossible for a father to have say in custodial disagreements, and even more impossible when it involves homeschooling. He is finally enrolled in public school again, and two grade levels behind his peers after being tested for content mastery. Starting only two grades behind is a courtesy. He left public school having done VERY well on even the standardized tests three years ago, but has not progressed at all since being enrolled at Living Waters. Students teach themselves out of workbooks and utilize the ONE teacher and ONE teaching assistant for assistance if needed. How can a student learn from a workbook if he can barely read? He didn't do any work for an entire year and no one realized until the end of the year and he had to "make it up" during the summer. I hope that even one parent reads this and chooses to take a closer look before enrollment. I believe that as parents we should absolutely have the right to homeschool our children, but this is an abuse of that right.
