Anyone considering something other than regular schooling should take a good look at Waskow. It's unlike anything I've ever expereinced. The teachers have so much respect for the students and care about them so much. Every single one of the teachers is willing to do whatever it takes to help students. I agree with whoever said they need a bigger building. With the success WHS is having, it would make sense. I am so glad I decided to come here. I never dread going to school. I'm excited about it, and I feel loved and respected, and am treated like an adult.

I am currently a student at Waskow and i have been for 2 years now, this school is so much better than the high school. I personally have had an easier time mastering my coursework here than i did at the high school. I like most of my teachers and they always give me the help i need! There also arent as many problems with other students here. Everyone minds thier own business for the most part. Its a great school and ive had some awsome experiences here!

Waskow is an amazing school. My son enrolled there because we moved during the school year and the main campus said it would be in his best interest to attend the 'academic alternative' school (Waskow) in the district. Well, we thought the worst. Boy were we wrong. Our son will never go back to a traditional school. Waskow treats every student like the unique individual learner they are. My son has thrived there. He gets one-on-one with the teachers whenever he needs it. He said everyone treats everyone with respect. It was an adjustment at first because he had to master each unit before he moved to the next one. Imagine, he has to master the course work. There's no such thing as failing, you do it until you get it right. I just wish I could have gone to a high school like this!

Really good school for the students, but there isnt much room since we have more students than ever before. There is now a list to get in here, so that is good, but the district should contemplate a bigger building to accomodate the growing student populace and hire more teachers to relieve the strain on the resident teachers. This school helps kids who cannot conform to the standards of 'Traditional Schooling' with a individual setting on the students abilities minus all the extra stuff that comes with high school such as sports, dances, and most of all, a large student populace. Waskow does have 3 clubs to date and they are the Chess Club, the Bridge Club, and FBLA. (Future Business Leaders of America)As you can see with the 3 clubs they do offer, they are more of a academic nature or is proven to help heighten your intellect.(such as chess and bridge) I really like the values of this school.
