This is a great school considering the social economic disadvantages, the staff is ready and willing to try new things. Thanks to the Leadership of their Principal Robert Lopez who brought them to a new achievement level after years of being barely acceptable. This instructional leader is 'Involved', he reads to the students, and they appreciate it. He animates and visualizes the stories for the kids. He is innovative--with a personalized center in his office for problematic children. Teddy bears, a rocking (comfort zone) chair, and books. Truly a gift to this small community. Thank you Mr. Lopez.
