I am speaking for a student of Big Sandy High School. The environment is friendly but there is a lack of extra curricular activities. The athletic program is great. The teachers are friendly, and the Elementary school is dfinitly the best. But I only recommend this school if your children are used to small towns.

We transfered into BSHS from Hawkins because my student was not being tested nor helped with her reading problems. This last year has been an adventure in careing and innovative teaching. Big Sandy High School is a very small, low-mid income school. They have done more for my kid in one year, with out me having to beg, than my old school did in 3 years. Guess this is where my voucher would be if I had one, until then I will gladly pay.
