This is a great school with wonderful, caring teachers. My child loves to go to school here!

Boyd Intermediate is a wonderful school. My son had very low self esteem and wans unmotivated to do his best until he we enrolled him at Boyd Intermediate. Their club program and Wrap-It-Ups make school a fun place for him and I am so greatful to his teachers for taking the time to make him experience success for the first time. I was really worried about his future before now. I would recommend this school to any parent who wants their child to recieve a top notch education and have a positive outlook on life's possibilities.

My main complaint with the Intermediate school is the Principle Mrs. Bracey. She can be very condescending and seems to allow bulling at school. I also do not like the fact that we pay such high taxes and they don't spend one dime on fixing up the school. Other than regular sports there are no other extracurricular activities for our kids.

After a year long battle last year while my son was in 4th grade, a problem still remains. Unlees your child is large enough in size he will bullied on a regular bassis. The Principle (Mrs. Bracey) seems as if she does not know what to do about so there is no action taken. It has gone as far as my child coming home with a busted lip, bloodied nose and ripped shirts. Also has had to fight in the class room at least twice. And all on this has carried over to the school bus as well. So my wife and I can no longer let our son ride the bus for safty reasons. My wife and I have made several trips to speak with her, numerous phone calls and notes were past last year. First day of school '06 same thing.

Overall one of the worst school districts in Wise county. Low teacher pay leads to high turnover and low quality. Many students are just barely a step above illiterate. But they have great football teams.
