Excellent School. My Daughter enjoys attending preschool here and we look forward to her attending K-6 as well.

We love this school! I have had two children attend for over five years. Each year, I am impressed with the quality of their education. The teachers are so caring and attentive. We have never had any problems with communication whatsoever. The chapel services are wonderful. I also appreciate the heart for missions that comes from the administration on down. The Smart Board technology is icing on the cake; the kids love it because learning is even MORE fun. The computer classes have wonderful programs that are age-appropriate (it's not just play time, they are truly learning). The annual Book Fair and Fine Arts Week are awesome!

I am a former parent of this wonderful school, my son attended for 9 years, it was an awesome experience. He had the opportunity to be involved in many extra curricular activities, athletics, football and basketball, UIL, Mission Projects and on and on. The Christian morals he was taught at home were re-inforced at FBCS. Parents have the opportunity to be involved as well. A wonderful transition was made from First Baptist to Brenham Junior High School and BHS where he continued to excel in his studies and was a distinguished graduate. We have nothing but praise for FBCS from the love he received from the employees to the excellent education he received. Keep up the good work First Baptist!

First Baptist Church School is an amazing school!! I have had 3 children with 11 years and counting of enrollment in the school. Just like any school, there have been ups and downs, but what my children have gotten from the school has helped mold and shape them into the students they are today. The principal has an amazing heart, the staff is there because they love the children, and the education they receive is above the bar! The technology they have brought into the classrooms this school year by installing smartboards in very impressive. My children love to have their lessons on them. I would not trust my children to anyone else!!

Our two year old son is enrolled in the day care and our biggest complaint is on Communication. There seem to be standards and expectations placed on my child that I am not informed of. In addition, I have a difficult time getting any kind of basic communication from his teachers. One day, after my husband left a message with the teacher in the morning asking her to leave a note for me on my son's progress, I was actually told by another teacher that afternoon, 'Well, we do not have a note for you. We'll check tomorrow to see if your husband left the message with your son's teacher.' Otherwise, my son is learning his colors, numbers and other things. I just don't know how he is spending his days. Looks like we will be finding another center soon.

I whole-heartedly agree with the comments made on October 12. I grew up in this communnity and have seen this school at it's greatest! But there has been a steady decline in the enrollment, as well as the atmosphere. The administraion, I believe is solely to blame. I was heart broken the day I pulled my daughter from the school and sent her to public school. She was there for 5 years, but we decided she would be better some where else.

I absolutely love this school. We come from another town and my kids went to private Christian school there as well. At FBCS I love the education my girls get, the ABEKA curriculum is great! I appreciate the communication between parents and the school. Sometimes it seems that if you are not a stay at home mom you can get left out of the loop at some places. Here we get notes for everything and since I can not be at the school or call them daily this is a real blessing for me. The staff is great and my kids really love it there. They are a part of my kids growing and helping to build a foundation on the word of God. And they do a great job.

I agree with the comments above! The school is not as focused on higher standards of academics as much anymore. They are trying to focus on the community and being involved. Yes, they spend more time 'out & about' helping, but less time in the classroom learning. The Administrator has not caught on yet the steady decline in enrollment, which has continued to decline since her reign. Which has also had an impact on the teachers and staff- they have a revolving door, sometimes it seems! And a lot of times it seems- if you are the one with the $$- you get to help make the rules.

Very good on the academic. Availability of music (sometimes too much), no art, some sports but only until 5th grade. Good involvement of parents, however, not over the general school decisions
