BISD can be a great school, the administration ties the hands of the teacher. Disruption in the classroom is a common pratice and the front office lets this slide. The turn over rate for Math teachers are terriable. Most students dislike math at the High School level and homework is a must to catch them up since a lot of the students have problems with 2nd grade math. The HS admin. turns a blind eye.

Brownfield High School offers many extracurricular activities and an impressive list of Dual Credit and Career and Technology Opportunities. I am impressed at the dedication and effeorts of teachers at BHS. Go Cubs!

Although Brownfield High School has seen some glory days, those days are past. The funding of this school is used for the football team, which is horrible, rather than education. The cheerleaders are also allowed to waltz around school in uniforms that are not dress code conforming. All in all, this is a terrible school and I wish my children did not go to it.

BHS is a sub-par school. Its national ranking is in the bottom 5%, hardly any of its graduates finish college (of the few that actually continue on), , and it continues to waste money on irrelevant spending agendas. The football team continues to receive new uniforms every 2-3 years, yet they can't afford to higher a new chemistry teacher. The basketball team recieves new shoes every year, yet they can't afford to enough math teachers to have upper level math courses. The leadership does not listen to reason as they continue to operate as if they were still in 1950. Save your children, send them to private school.

I think that the overall performance of BHS is astounding because the students and the staff have a good relationship.
