They don't really care about students they just focus on sports. They spent tons of money making a new field house instead of making repairs to the middle school which is like falling apart. They act so fake when state officials come to inspect the school. They're constantly having to replace teachers. It's not really a good school to go to.

Spent millions renovating the football stadium instead of hiring new chemisty and math teachers. For 2 years the high school has gone without a real chemistry teacher, and for decades hasn't offered any higher math courses leaving student woefully unprepared. The statistics speak for themselves, as in all the STAAR statistics, nearly half of the school fails in all categories. A bad school in a bad town. Avoid Brownfield as if it was plague infested.

Wouldn't hire new math teachers, some students went without a math teacher for almost a year. Funding is spent mostly on football team. They used to have a dress code now the kids are allowed to look indecent. Some of the teachers want to be friends with the students and don't care about the students education.

BISD can be a great school, the administration ties the hands of the teacher. Disruption in the classroom is a common pratice and the front office lets this slide. The turn over rate for Math teachers are terriable. Most students dislike math at the High School level and homework is a must to catch them up since a lot of the students have problems with 2nd grade math. The HS admin. turns a blind eye.

Brownfield High School offers many extracurricular activities and an impressive list of Dual Credit and Career and Technology Opportunities. I am impressed at the dedication and effeorts of teachers at BHS. Go Cubs!

Although Brownfield High School has seen some glory days, those days are past. The funding of this school is used for the football team, which is horrible, rather than education. The cheerleaders are also allowed to waltz around school in uniforms that are not dress code conforming. All in all, this is a terrible school and I wish my children did not go to it.

BHS is a sub-par school. Its national ranking is in the bottom 5%, hardly any of its graduates finish college (of the few that actually continue on), , and it continues to waste money on irrelevant spending agendas. The football team continues to receive new uniforms every 2-3 years, yet they can't afford to higher a new chemistry teacher. The basketball team recieves new shoes every year, yet they can't afford to enough math teachers to have upper level math courses. The leadership does not listen to reason as they continue to operate as if they were still in 1950. Save your children, send them to private school.

I think that the overall performance of BHS is astounding because the students and the staff have a good relationship.
