my oldest son started kindergarden this year at BES and to be honest, I was worried about sending him to public school at first. I went to private school, and grew up in Tyler, and the public schools there were less than acceptable. But I have to say, I love BES! They have awesome teacher/parent communication, the technology of a bigger school, and also good teacher/ student ratios because they are a smaller district. Its always a struggle when your child is in someone elses care, but I feel very confident with BES so far!
I have had 2 children go through the elementary school, one in there now, and one to start in aug.I have never had any complaints. The school is wonderful, the teachers and staff are excellent, and the principal, Mr.Ralson, is one of the best to come through. Parental involvment is key. Ask and you will be told...keep up the good work bes!!! Jackie Conner
Moving from the Dallas area, I was concerned about the curriculum at BISD. My fears were quickly dispelled after having a meeting with the BES principal, Mr. Ralson. He is excellent! His philosophy is upbeat and positive and it spills over into the staff and classrooms. I'm very happy that my daughter and son go to BES and hope that their transition and experiences with the Middle school are as positive as their years at Brownsboro Elementary have been. Brownsboro Elementary School received an exemplary rating this year, the only one in the county. Very impressive!
when my child was in school- kgtn- and the teacher was changed due to an illness. At the same time my child was getting 'bad' behavior messages sent home and I could not understand. the behavior had always been awesome and it was evident on the sheets. the school and teacher never told the parents until I started to question the problem. Then it came out like I should have known. I did not appreciate the punitive judgement on my child who was just transitioning to a new teacher slower than others and I did not appreciate not knowing the change happened. but otherwise, a nice enough school. A bit too strict though.
My oldest daughter started kindergarten this year in Brownsboro. The staff, teachers, and principal are all very caring and helpfull with any and all questions. When my daughter missed school for a family funeral her teacher and the office staff both called to check on her to make sure she wasn't sick. The principle knows all of the students and does his share of teaching with a reading roundup. Her teacher always has time for one on one time with the students and works with the parents when they have questions or concerns.
