A situation happen to my son last year. His classmate brought a pocket knife to school and showed it to my son and some other kids. I found out what happened by my son. I went the following day to confront the situation. The assistant principal said and I quote "I spoke to the mother and she said that her son did not have a knife and we have to give the mom the benefit of the doubt." I asked her what disciplinary action the school was going to take and she said that she was going to ask the counselor to remind the kids not to bring weapons to school..really!!! The kid continued going to school like nothing had happened. It's very sad that a school has to wait for a tragedy to happen before something is really done.
