Johnson Elementary School

I could not ask for better teachers for my daughter. They are caring and go way above and beyond their required duties. I always feel welcome in the school and that there is a partnership between the teachers, parents, and students. The atmosphere in Johnson Elementary is truly unique and full of smiles and loving hearts!

I couldn't ask for a better school for my daughter. The teachers are amazing, and go above and beyond each and every day to make sure all students succeed. The principal is accessible to parents, and is very much involved in the school's success. No wonder, they have received as many awards as they have...it is an honor to be a Jaguar Parent!

This year Johnson Elementary School received the highly prestigious Blue Ribbon Award. Johnson Elementary has been named a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School by U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings, one of 287 schools in the United States to receive the designation. Johnson is one of only 23 Texas schools to receive the honor, one of the most prestigious education awards in the country.

Our 3 children have gone through Johnson since 1994. This will be our 5th grader's last year there. I can't say enough good things about the nice, family atmosphere at Johnson. The students are given many academic challenges. With the wonderful, well-seasoned teaching staff there, the students rise to the challenges and exceed them! The Accelerated Reader Program is wonderful and many students are reading proficiently by Christmas of their 1st grade year, if they aren't in kindergarten! The spirit of parental volunteerism cannot be matched! I give this school an A+. We will miss the Johnson family when our daughter graduates this May.
