My child has learning disabilities and had to repeat a grade. The teacher knew at the beginning of the school year she was struggling. I pushed for testing and additional help. They did not start the testing until March and it was not complete until May. They did nothing to help her that year. They then wanted to promote her knowing she was not ready ( to make the schools ratings good) . She repeated and I loved her teacher who never let her fall behind and worked with me to benefit my child. I think the school is good if you have a main stream child.... But they let the ones with learning problems slip through the cracks. They need to implemate a better program for those who struggle instead of dragging their feet!!! Every child is different !!!! STOP WORRYING ABOUT YOUR RATINGS AND SCORES AND WORRY ABOUT THE CHILDREN.... ALL OF THEM !!!!

I love this school! The teachers are amazing, and all the staff knew my name and who my children were by the 2nd week!!! Everyone is so friendly, and I don't worry about my children when they are in school! LOVE IT!!!

My son has adhd and the teacher is very rude and basically says she has no time for my sons behavior and he is not the only student in her class. I believe the school focuses so much on their ratings that they leave the children with learning disabilities out in the cold! They are pleased as long as the students can learn quickly but refuse to offer extra help to those who can't.

I love this school, my kids love this school. Prior to going to this school my son went to another elementary school and made average grades and since he has gone here he has made honor roll every six weeks! My daughter feels welcome to this school and has learned so much her first year. We all love this school!

I absolutely love Bowen Elementary! They have a 100% Exit level TAKS passing rate for students who started school at their elementary school. They have high expectations of their students and the teachers work with all of their students to ensure their success. This is one of the best schools in the district.

the principal is annoying and the teachers r not like they use to be before the principal arrived.she makes her own rules up i will not be sending my kids bvack to school there next year.

Best public elementary school in the area! Parents are extremely involved.....teachers are highly-qualified and it is a family-friendly atmosphere. High test scores and curriculum.
