Trinity Christian School

I feel so blessed to have my daughter in trinity she is getting a balanced education along with the word of God being instilled in her daily the teachers and staff care about the overall welfare of your child as a student and a person who will grow up and become a member of society they teach the students to give back to their community and to care about others less fortunate.Also the parent support is outstanding in my daughters class and her teacher and the superintendent send out communication letters and emails weekly to let you know what is going on with your child and the school.not only are my husband and I happy with the school my daughter loves going to school and she loves her teacher which says she feels safe and excited about school.The best thing about this year is she learned how to pray and goes to God for simple things in life.Can't wait till next year to see her grow to the next level in her education and with her classmates also my daughters class was small this year which I felt she got the attention she desires and deserves which is one of the pluses of a private school.

This school is not as great as I thought it was, I was VERY disappointed. My child went to TCS, I took her out because of BULLYING. The principle told me that she had to "deal with it". She also said it would get better but it did not. My child was left out, and the students didn't act according to their age. I don't recommend TCS... the teachers seem that they don't have a clue what they are doing. The lessons aren't explained how they should.

Trinity Christian is the best thing that has ever happened to my child. Before Trinity, our son attended a public school. He was doing poorly academically, and acting out a lot. When he began attending this school, his grades improved. He still struggled with some classes due to the high academic expectations and curriculum at Trinity. With tutoring offered at the school, lower teacher student ratio, and hard work, he has excelled above and beyond in both academics and athletics. I strongly feel this college preparatory school will greatly prepare him to go to any university he desires.

I attended trinity many years ago and now my son has been at trinity since k-4. We are very pleased with his progress - the teachers are very caring working with both parents and child. I have seen my son embrace the challenges given and excel. I highly recommend the school.

This school is a disappointment. They cram middle school and high school here together in one small, rundown building. The courses here are not challenging, and when they are, the teachers fail to properly assist students in understanding the subject. There is barely any homework in most classes. I've had more homework at my old middle school than my freshman year here! I hear my fellow classmates complain that they are given too much homework here when really they are being given very little at all. Like the previous review had mentioned, Trinity is for mediocre students. I am definately not being properly prepared for college, especially not for a prestigious college or anything of the sort. I would also like to comment on the building's awful condition. Yes, the tuition is very low compared to other private schools around the area, but you would think they would at least repair the leaky roof! It is full of holes, and it's blatant that they haven't made repairs in several years. When it rains outside, it rains inside. Horrible. If you were to put your child here, just don't make them attend middle and high school here.

I went to school here and graduated two years ago. Trinity is a place for mediocre students. However, if your son or daughter is an overachiever or wants an academic challenge, Trinity is the wrong school. There is a reason that this private school is cheaper than others in the Metroplex. Most of the teachers are not state certified, and the ones that are eventually leave because the pay is awful. There are only a couple of AP classes taught. Foreign language was taught via Rosetta Stone. There have even been reports of the old Academic Dean boosting a student's GPA since she was an athlete applying to college and wanted to be Valedictorian. I Trinity has a reputation of accepting the students that get kicked out of public school. I believe it. I attend a University now, and compared to other students, I believe Trinity did not prepare me for college. However, it can prepare you for community college, since that's where the majority of graduates go. In fact, when I took dual credit classes, I was told to "just pass" because those grades won't matter. Since I'm applying to graduate school next year, they do.Also, look at the poor SAT/ACT scores Trinity boasts about on its website.

My children have attended Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill since 2005. I am pleased with the exceptional education my children have received. The staff is certified and each year they have improved the cirriculum. My children score very well on the nationally standardized tests and one of my children was identified as Duke Tip candidate in the 4th grade. Trinity is a great school that strives to educate children to handle and impact the world in their careers and professions.

I have 2 children attending TCS and have been very very happy with the Administration, especially the Jr. High Principal & the Superintendent. My children tested very well on SAT and I feel they are being well prepared for college. The teachers are great and have real compassion and love for the students.

My daughter has been attending TCS since the 5th grade. She is entering her Jr year and will graduate from TCS, We have had nothing but good experiences at this school and the close relationships students develop within the church and school is awesome. Our students always get compliments when out on school trips whether its sports or academics. If you are looking for faith based curriculum and christian values for your child, I would highly recommend Trinity.

TCS has a wonderful, caring and Christian environment. The Preschool program boosts great teachers and a challenging curriculum. I am a public school teacher so I am able to compare their curriculum with that of the public schools. TCS is above in every way. My son will be attending Kindergarten this upcoming year and we have decided that TCS is the right place for him. I just love the community feel, diverse student backgrounds, and high academic and behavior expectations.

I love tcs! my daughter is in kindergarten and she is reading on a third grade level. the teachers are very caring and concerned about the students academic and spiritual instruction. Trinity is a five star school in my book!

I am very, very, very disappointed in Trinity. I feel the school is all about money but you can't see were the money is going. The school needs alot of work done, everything is old in the school and the teachers act as if they don't care. They are just there for a pay check.

My kids have been students at TCS since 2004 and I have seen a steady decline in the academics. TCS primary focus is money. The student to teacher ratio in elementary is not acceptable for a private school. They advertise small classes, but cram as many kids as there are in public school. When asked about it; they respond what the state allow them to have. If we wanted state standards we would put them in public state school. I took my kids out for one year and attended a different private school and they were bored as they had to learn the things they learned in the previous grade. The one thing they are consistent on is asking for more and more money.

i have been at Trinity since the fifth grade this will be my fifth year here. i am in 9th grade and i personally think Trinity is an awesome school i think they care for the students and i love how are school supports the basketball and the football and also how are school has such great school spirit in all grades. Yeah, this school can be strict but that is all schools. If your going to send your child to a school send them here they can get the knowledge they need and also learn about God.

My child has attended TCS for the past two years. This will be the 3rd year. I am disappointed in the school, ciriculum is not much more than she would receive most average public schools. Books are outdated, tattered, and torn. She's bored to tears in most classes and is scared the school won't prepare her for what she needs in college. There are SOME good teachers. Opprotunities are not offered based on ability alone, so I've had to research gifted programs and apply outside of the school. My child definitely won't be there for high school.

My child went here about five years ago and I compared the scores of the school High Pointe and the public grade schools were higher. Now dont get me wrong but here they do teach a tad to musch bible verse then school work. I mean if you do wont them to learn bible verse you could just send them to childrens church and all that money you have to pay was too much for me. If you just wont your kids to be in Private school and still learn what they should be learning send them to Ashleys Private School on Beltline.

I went To Trinity for three years and I am very glad that I changed schools two years ago. I remember the building of the new chapel and the renovation of the football field, not to mention the repainting of the gym and the entire school. Trinity was more focused on outward appearance and didn't notice the downward spiral of academic quality. Also, the elementary principle changed every year I was there. And my parents began to worry because several people in my grade were expelled from Trinity after also being expelled from a puplic school. Trinity will find time to take anyone's money. -Abby A.

This is an awesome Christian School-the academics are far more challenging than public schools. Music is a great opportunity they put on a all school Christmas Show complete participation. In the fifth grade you either play an instrument or sing in the choir. Art is lacking in the lower grades. The sports are limited because of the size of the school but plenty of opportunity to play football or basketball, cheer leading this year they started a Drama class. Parent involvement is encouraged and appreciated.

My son has attended TCS for 4 years and my husband and I have been impressed with his progress. We are also pleased with the teachers, they are very concerned with each atudent spiritual and academic performance. The only compliantI have regarding Trinity Christian School is the lack of stability of the elementary administration.
