Hi I am a student from a Middle School.I am in volleyball and we played against alice johnson, they are the most misbehaved people I have ever seen. They are good players but their students and staff are rude! The people managing the ticket stand made us eat outside! They said they didn't allow food inside.Somebody would have to re-pay for a ticket to get back in the gym to watch a game. The students are rude they started calling us ugly names right in front of their teachers and they did not even say anything.I suggest to not enroll your kids in that school.I am just a student that visited their school for a volleyball game.

We pulled my daughter out of this school and put her back in private school after one semester. The teachers are only there to do a job. They don't care about the kids. The front office is rude and too lazy to get out of their chairs to do anything. The place is more like a prison than a school. The biggest problem with this school (really the district as a whole) is the complete lack of interest parents have in what their children are learning. If you need childcare so you can go to work or watch soap operas, keep your child enrolled at AJJH. If you care about them having a successful life, pull them out quickly.

I think that many of the teachers are lacking classroom management skills and they fail to abide by and enforce the school policies.

This school isn't that good. In my opinion the teachers are way too mean. They give way too many work. The students have to many stress. All they talk about is TAKS . The school lunch is horrible. My child hates this school, and she wishes to move on to highschool.

I visit the one of my son class rooms and watch his teacher. Wow the teacher puts up with allot and I respect the teachers and what they do. I feel more parents should spend at aleast one period with their child in class. Thanks Steven Kelly Senior

teachers aren't afraid of the children; the parents must be because some of them lack self-discipline, control and etiquette that start at home

Some parents don't support the teachers as much as they should. They simply believe negative views from their children, instead of conferencing with the teachers to find out the facts. Plus, some parents don't enforce homework, which is very important in my opinion. I make sure that my daughter gets all of her homework done before she talks on the phone or watches tv. If she says she has no homework, I have her explain what she learned that day and take a few minutes to write it down. Also, reading everyday is important in our home. Sometimes I have her read aloud to me or her dad. Then we discuss it. If all parents would show more interest in this school and be more involved with their chilren's education, I think this school can be quite successful.

I feel that this school is lacking alot when it comes to both teaching and correcting students. They are scared of the children is what it seems.

I know several people try hard in this district, however, I agree with the other parents...not enough focus on the basics and WAY TOO MUCH FOCUS ON THE TAKS test. Unfortunately, the teachers that are wonderful are not getting the chance to prove themselves because EVERYONE MUST TEACH THE SAME STUFF..BY THE BOOK. Sounds great but it obviously isn't working that way. My child went from straight A's w/ slight difficulty in math (help requested in 2nd grade & denied because she could read & was technically passing)...then she began really struggling in math (told math tutorials were not available)...now that she is actually failing math in the 5th grade...lots of help being offered. Unfortunately she is being pulled so often from class for her EXTRA help, that now she is beginning to drop grades in ALL other classes. This is to much stress on a 10 yr. old!!! LET'S--GET--BACK--TO--THE--BASICS!!!!

Leadership is more concerned about 'image' than kids.
