Charlotte Elementary has an excellent staff to help our children. The Principal knows each child and most of the teachers want to be there to help the kids not just collect a paycheck. This year they have added music and art. More parent participation is greatly needed. Mentors for children who are at risk would be great.
Class size is great. Academics are good and the Teachers are the best. Music, unless it is singing is non exsistant. Art is curtailed because of tutorials for testing. Sports sometimes organized at break times. Extracurricular activities include a Fall Festival, Texas Heritage Week, Field Day and Field trips by the individual classes PreK thru 5th grade. Parent involvement at the school is fair. Sometimes parents are too involved(with personality conflicts with Teachers or Principal) and don't let our leaders do their job. Overall we are blessed with a wonderful caring group to teach our children. Our Teachers-aides are very helpful also.
