I understand the frustration of a parent who receives notes with misspelled words, but in defense of the teacher...she probably writes the notes while taking care of a classroom full of children while completing the latest state mandated report and trying to get it done before school lets out. A classroom teacher has a difficult job. They don't just teach students. I would hope this parent volunteered on a regular basis to help the teacher and could see first hand the every day obstacles of teachers. I for one am very pleased with the atmosphere of our school and take pride in helping students achieve the goals and expectations set by the district for them. My daughter has learning difficulties and I feel the teacher and the staff members were on top of the issues and were willing to go beyond to help her.

I have been impressed with Childress Elementary School. Mrs.Ralston Mrs.Bruce And Mrs.A.Taylor have been very good teachers. My daughter is very very happy and learning more everyday. Very good to help inspire their students to keep going and learn more do'nt stop just go further and keep them interested . Not let them get comfortable and bored . Just what my daughter needed.

CES has a 2nd grade teacher (Matteson) who has sent home numerous notes with misspellings. I feel this is the worst thing for a child of this age trying to learn from a teacher that is herself not able to produce an intelligent note to a parent or student.
