My son is in Pre-K here. Pre-K is offered to low income and military. My husband is stationed at Randolph. This is a wonderful school. It is a newer building and the entire staff here are truly excellent. I couldn't ask for more for my child's first experience at school. As far as the test scores for the state tests: I have a friend who teaches near Dallas and she told me to read the parent's reviews because Texas' state tests are constantly changing and not a good indicator of the school. I wouldn't have chosen this school based on this site's review of the test scores, but that just shows that tests are only one factor to consider. The teachers are involved, the kids are happy, the atmosphere is friendly and my son is learning and socializing. We love Wiederstein so much that we don't want to leave the school district when we buy. It's been that great!

My son attended this school and loved it. Ms. Evans he said made learning lots of fun. I liked that you can reach her at any moment by e-mail. SCUCISD have great schools and its a great community to raise your kids. Lots of military family, we are one of them.

My daughter attended Wiederstein last year and we love this school! She was in Mrs. Klinge's class. Mrs. Klinge and all the teachers are top-notch and very impressive. They show true kindness and concern for the students and are genuine in all they do. I highly recommend this school and district to any parent.

Wiederstein Elementary is a wonderful school. My children are so happy at school. I feel so welcomed each and everytime I walk through the doors. The teachers really care about the children's progress. They do all that they can to help my children succeed! I am truly blessed to be able to send my children to such a great school!

I have been a Wiederstein parent for two years, and have been very pleased with the teachers my child has been placed with. They seem to genuinely care about his success, and are always there to address any questions/concerns I may have. I appreciate all that the teachers and staff members do to make my son and me feel welcome!

We have a wonderful family of faculty and staff! Everyone works as a team to help our students be successful from year to year!! We are on our way to Exemplary status this year and we will do it! The students are why we are here! They are our future and it will be brighter because they have a super foundation to build upon!!!

My son went to this school for 4th grade. Overall it was a good experience for him. Front desk staff is awesome and made us feel welcome everyday we went in there. We were forced to this school because Green Valley was capped. First impression was not good.(but hey are moving into a brand new school this year). Teacher was active in my sons education. Overall it is a great school and this school district is the best in the SA area.

I'm very dissapointed with the administration of this school. If you see the grades they have for test are getting worst every year. Only few of the teachers put an effort to keep up with the good work. The administration office give more attention to matters like teacher's day, parties or recognition to staff from the parents. They send letters home asking for food plates, cakes, etc for their staff. If you move near to this area, I would recommend you to send your children to the schools at Schertz, Tx.

I am a young single mother and my son attends school here. I think it is a wounderful school if you are not a single parent. It seems that the staff is preoccupied with my relationship status and are biased by the fact that i am doing it myself. It is so badly affecting my child that this coming year i will be removing my son and placeing him in private school. My child does not get the help he needs unless I sit in on class with him and help myself.
