Cisco ISD is a wonderful school. My child has a learning disability, and the school has been wonderful working with him. They offer a great career track for the students, time for tutoring, teachers and coaches that will actually listen to and talk to the parents. They are always willing to talk and work out any problems with the students, and keep the parents involved in the school enviroment. The sports are wonderful, and they coaches really care about the students. Yes, the mascot is LOBOES, and has always been spelled that way. The superintendant is at all the student events, from academics to sports to support the kids and so are many of the teachers. Kids can take many classes to learn a trade from welding and horticulture to nursing or childcare. We keep the small school environment, but try to offer many choices for the students.
Cisco High School is one of the finest AA schools in the state for academics and athletics. No where in Texas will you find a community so involved with it's high school. The football stadium and basketball gym are two of the largest and best AA facilities in Texas and never do either have an empty seat when the Loboes and Lady Loboes are playing. What's even more impressive is when the teams are on the road, Cisco sometimes has a larger visiting crowd than the home facility they are playing in. Yes I spelled that, Loboes to point out to one critic that Cisco is one of two schools in Texas that spells the mascot name like that. As far as academics you will not find a better supporting staff than the teachers at CHS. Very dedicated and passionate about their job, the teachers at CHS are outstanding.
I like this scholl for its extra activity.
The academic programs are good. The availability of extracurricular activies is good. The level of parent involvement is also good.
Cisco High School is great if you are into sports and academics. Technology is offered to all students. They have one of the best sports programs around. They have a college program within the High School. The community is very supportive. They have teachers that will go that extra mile for the kids in academics as well. The enthusiasm of most staff is awesome. A few teachers gossip about students and can be judgemental about kids who are making poor choices. This is true anywhere. They are the lowest paid, but the hardest working. They are not teaching because of the money but of the love of teaching. I believe that the overall quality of the school is excellent! The community is awesome! Where else can a child get college credit while in the high school? The arts programs need improvement, but what they have are excellent! Go Cisco High School!
Cisco schools have some wonderful teachers, but lack the money and leadership to give students the skills they need to be successful in their future. This is evident by the Cisco High School Web page that misspells the mascot name. Overall, Cisco has teachers that gossip and warehouse children and teens. We have some teachers that are the best! They will go out of their way to help students, but overall most teachers' do not work to improve their craft. They are one of the lowest paid in the state and we get what we pay for...
