Crown of Life Lutheran School has been a wonderful school for my children! They love their teachers, friends and they know the Lord! What more could I ask for! Yes...the academics are superb, but that is just a bonus! The upper school has been a great experience for my older child, my younger one can't wait to get up there. The lock-in, the science, the community service, all super fun stuff that makes them LOVE school! We are soooo excited about the new Principle! Any of the past challenges that our school has faced will be undoubtedly be eradicated by this man. His experience and faith will lead this staff and school family to new heights. Can't wait to see where he takes us. I am confident that any issues discussed in the negative reviews will no longer exist! So sorry for those that had a poor experience, that truly is NOT the norm for this school but a few isolated instances that surely had a one sided review. Yes, we have had a high turnover rate, but that has mostly been due to families moving from the area or for financial reasons. Overall, this IS the best school in the area, I have looked, just to make sure, and will not be moving my children.

I'm an alum of COLLS, and it is a wonderful school! I attended 1st-8th grade, and it molded me into the person I am today. I enjoyed having smaller classes because I got to know everyone, and my teachers personally knew every student. I have so many great memories from COLLS! I learned so much spiritually, academically, socially, and athletically from attending COLLS. Two of my teachers from COLLS inspired me to be a teacher. I'm so blessed I have the opportunity to go there!

Crown of Life Lutheran School is an amazing school. This is our second year in the preschool program and my daughter has just flourished. I couldn't ask for a better school for my daughter to grow academically, spiritually and emotionally.

We are so grateful for the loving and christian atmosphere at Crown Of Life Lutheran School. Our children have flourished over the years. Developed lifelong friends and are doing excellent in high school. We give credit to the great teachers, curriculum and their faith in Jesus Christ.

Wow! The teachers at Crown of Life were put on this earth to teach children! It truly is a gift and a pleasure for these teachers to instruct and minister to their classes. I love the student/teacher ratio. My child gets personalized attention and this allows him to excel. At Crown of Life, everyone knows your name.

The school, staff, & parents are great. Everyone seems to work together. The children are amazing. Most of all my 6th grader with dyslexia has excelled more than I imagined. I am a proud parent & give COLLS a lot of credit for her future!

I have two children enrolled now, one in Upper School and one in Lower School. I also have two children that have already graduated after completing their entire elementary education at COL. The education is second to none and the spiritual guidance and growth is something they will carry with them forever. The school uses cutting edge educational techniques that prepare them to succeed at the next level. The smaller class sizes also give the children the individual attention that contribute to that success. The teachers are all highly qualified, caring, and extremely dedicated. There truly is no better option in NE Tarrant county for your children to be.

I graduated from COL and it was such a great experience. One thing that I will never forget is Science week. It is a fun filled week completing a very challenging science experiment. The upper school is very Christ centered and a close family. I loved how everyone got along and always helped one another. The learning environment is great !

Crown of Life Lutheran School has been a wonderful school for my daughter. She is in preschool and has learned SO much from her wonderful teachers! The staff there is very friendly and loving. I look forward to my daughter's future moving up through the elementary grades and on into middle school where she will get to experience the excitement I always see amongst the older kids. She loves going to school and is looking forward to her new class next year!

The Principal was always so kind and supportive. The Marketing Director made every step of the process feel easy and made us feel right at home. Lastly, our daughters teacher was the most wonderful person as well as loving, fair, and smart. She challenged her students above and beyond. Not SOME students, not students of a certain ELITE STATUS...all students. Our daughter scored in the 90th percentile in her achievement testing that we just received. Second grade as a WHOLE scored in the 92nd percentile. My husband and I love that our Daughter was just allowed to be herself at this school and work at her own speed. We were concerned at her old school that she may be falling thru the cracks. While her class at COLLS was self paced it was also very structured. Certain writings, math work, etc. were due every day, Bible Verses were to be recited on Mondays, Spelling tests were weekly. We could not be more pleased with the vast amount of knowledge that our daughter learned. I highly recommend this school if you want your child to receive a well rounded education while having love and faith poured into them in all areas. WE LOVE CROWN OF LIFE LUTHERAN SCHOOL! \

Crown of Life Lutheran School is truly providing an outstanding Christian education to my children! All of the teachers are highly trained, motivated and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching. I am amazed at the projects they are challenged with and the independence and latitude they are given to complete them. They are constantly encouraged to dream, imagine, wonder and most of all to TRY! As the old saying goes "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." The teaching methods are not "canned" and therefore, my children may come at a project from a completely different angle and are allowed to go with it!I love that prayer is an essential part of each school day; beginning, middle and end and in-between if needed. They are encouraged to pray from their heart about matters dear to them. Empathy is evident as older students help the younger ones, building family and commradery across a large age group. Our Principal is always willing to listen and do what is in the best interst of the child! I could not imagine my children at any other school. Crown of Life is truly a family to my family!

The Crown of Life School is exceptional on so many different levels. From the leading-edge curriculum development to the wealth of available learning initiatives, from the pervasive community spirit to beyond-expectations commitment of the teachers and staff. My son recently tested two full grades ahead of his level so I know he is getting a superb education. But I also know he is happy at COL. How? Yesterday he told me the saddest day of the year was happening next week, the last day of school for the year. He's clearly fulfilled, engaged, adjusted and being well educated...all within a fantastic, loving Christian environment. A parent couldn't hope for more.

I have two children at COLLS. Both children have had a great experience at this school, academically and socially. As a parent, I feel welcome and included. We plan to stay through 8th grade. I have had great peace of mind knowing my kids are safe and happy at school, including the extended care program after school. My kids usually don't want to leave when I pick them up because they are having so much fun playing with their friends after school. Academically, I have seen clear and steady growth in their learning. Good communication from school.

Our family had such high hopes in this school. At first, it seems to be perfect... beautifully painted drawings all over hallway walls and classrooms, seemingly enthusiastic people... but we sadly discovered that Crown of Life is not what it seems. Teachers treat students from certain families (staff, etc) with extreme favoritism but neglect other students. Bullying exists here starting at a very young age, continuing on through 8th grade. We are so disappointed that a Christian school could ever be so unchristian. Nothing is done about the bullying, and it is swept under the rug with barely an apology and no change. The student turnover rate is high. I've spoken with many other families that have left or are leaving for the same issues with the administration and student treatment. If I could warn any loving parent to shield their child from the highly likely mistreatment they will encounter here, please use caution and try to see past the facade. Too many kids are suffering lower self worth because of this school. Please pray for change... I know I will, for the sake of any remaining children being devalued here. Our child is much happier at their new school.

My wife and I pulled our child out of crown of life with only a few weeks left in the year due to incessant bullying. Nothing could have prepared us for the sick feeling learning that our child was being singled out and ostracized by her classmates daily. A distinct air of nepotism surrounds this school, If you are not part of the "in" crowd as students or adults be prepared to be treated poorly and or abused. It saddens me to have to write such words about a school but as more parents come out of the woodwork regarding the inherent favoritism the more I feel the need to inform others of our struggle. I fear that the few years my child spent at crown of life have done enough to damage the self esteem and independence of our child and I pray that this review helps others to pay more attention to the growing bully habits of some of the more privileged students.

Crown of Life Lutheran School is the best kept secret in Tarrant County. This is a school that has a great Christian Education with highest academic standards. We have (2) grandchildren enrolled there and they love it. We can not believe the great education they are getting. Just being in the facility is up lifting and the teachers are the very best available today. The principal is focused on the children and making sure that they come first. We get all of these great things at a very competitive enrollment charge.

We are very happy at Crown of Life Lutheran School. We have had our child in several private schools over the years due to moves so we have had experiences with other private schools. The principal, teachers, office staff, and Pastors are all approachable, friendly, nurturing, well qualified and highly capable. COLL is organized and well run. The school experience is friendly, caring, engaging, positive and fun. The curriculum is balanced, structured, and they give the students the tools they need to succeed. COLL contracts the services of a professional from LSEM (Lutheran Special Education Ministries). This is something that is often lacking in private schools and I have been thoroughly impressed with the assistance we have received from this program in identifying and addressing our child's dyslexia. COLL has extra-curriculars, events, and socials that are free or inexpensive. The tuition is lower than most private schools in the area. The school offers an affordable, flexible drop -in before and after care school program. The class size is small (capped at 15). Homework is minimal. Christian education is integrated into curriculum. Catered hot lunch program available.

I actually think the quote about it being the "best kept secret in Tarrant County" is very true. To see the teachers and Principal leading the morning Rise and Shine meetings is exciting. It is evident the school is focused around children. I would invite anyone to stop by and look at that school as it is "on fire" with learning and happiness. The Pre-school is amazing. You get a certified teacher in the 2 year olds! I am excited to hear classes are filling up and going on wait lists. Crown of Life enjoy your excitement! You have spent countless hours making this a wonderful place for children! Cheers to a great school!

COLLS has been an unbelievable blessing to our family. The student to teacher ratio, curriculum, attention to the "whole" child's growth, teacher s commitment to the children, and concentration on inspiring the children to be their very best and think outside of the norm. They are constantly being challenged by engaging projects, stimulating classroom assignments, and sports activities. We could not have made a better choice for our kids.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
