We have been blessed to be part of Sacred Heart for several years. We have had one graduate and younger ones still attending. Having a strong Catholic identity is my first priority. The administrators set an example through their behavior and their teachings to form students in a Catholic culture. Though students may not always follow what they have been shown, at least someone is speaking to them of our faith and living a virtuous life. Students are courteous and well behaved so that high academic standards are kept. They have evolved positively over the years as they try to continue offering new opportunities for students and families. Parents are encouraged to put their gifts and talents to service. There has always been a warm, family-friendly environment. I have noticed with new parish leadership in place the last two years that there seems to be a tension that was not present in previous years. I hope this is not an indication of a negative change in the overall culture of the school as we have been so pleased with the progress that has been made and relationships we have formed. It is like a family for many of us!

It has been a while since my daughter went to Sacred Heart, but I really do not want to miss the opportunity to share with the readers how great the learning experience was. Academics were excellent and aimed not at what the test would cover, but at preparing students for college, as well as for life. The extra curricular activities such as volley ball, girl scouts, field trips, Octoberfest and other functions made school life so much part of an integral education.

This is our fourth year at SH and I am most pleased. The staff, including the principal, is warm and welcoming. I see how hard everyone works and while I feel some staff wear too many hats, unfortunately I assume it is the only way to keep the cost of tuition down. I compare what my children do at SH with what the neighbors do at public schools and the difference is abysmal, not only in education but also with the life lessons learned. I would rather home school before exposing my children to the public school system. While no school is perfect, SH is for those looking for a warm nurturing environment.

we are also a recent transfer from out of state and have been very warmly welcomed at sacred heart-my children have been treated like they were in the school since kindergarten-academically the students are challenged and my children have done extremely well-i also feel the school's discipline procedures stay on top of behavioral issues before they get out of hand-communication with teachers & staff is excellent-i have been especially impressed with the dean of students-i highly recommend sacred heart to anyone looking for quality catholic eduation

I just transfered here from out of state and I must say it has been a wonderful experience thus far. The children have adapted quite well. Even my 'cool' seventh grader who always complains that everything is boring is actually enjoying school. I love the warmth and welcome we have received from everyone! Academically it is also comparable to 'academy' schools.

Academic programs are comparable with 'academy' public schools. There are numerous extracurriculars (many focused on academics), to include music, art, and journalism.Parent involvement is high and harmonious.

Sacred Heart provides a strong academic foundation. My children are at least a year ahead in language arts. This school provides opportunities for sports, band, choir, and other extracurricular activities. It holds high standards for behavior in the classroom. The principal is a strong spiritual leader.

Excellent education, problem is too many non- working parents being involved. Need to get hobbies and stay out of school or get an education themselves. Overall very satisfied.

Our daughter went to Sacred Heart and when she entered a top high school she was more than prepared, and was placed in all advanced clases.

I have had kids at Sacred Heart for 11 years and I have 6 years to go with the very last one. I love the school and the teachers. They are our family. God has blessed us with the school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
