This school is a train wreck. The teachers do the best they can under the circumstances, but the kids are just horrible. They have no respect for anybody. They have a careless attitude. I'm glad I pulled my son from that school. Mrs. Gloriod, the principal, is a terrible leader. She has a 'better than you' attitude. She is very condescending to teachers, parents and kids. As far as parent involvement is concerned, it seems as though it's nonexistent. Stay away from this disaster area.
The teachers are dealing with multi-cultures and backgrounds as in any school. I feel great that my grandchildren are at Travis. Mrs. Payne and principle Wilson takes those extra steps in problem solving with the students. Others may also, but I have had interaction with these two and is very appreciative with their participation and the out come.
