I went here for three years and I had the worst time of my life. The teachers and students did not accept nor have satisfactory communication skills. There are a few teachers there that are quality educators. Most, though, are should not have any certification for teaching. The school in general does not accept people that are different than the norm. Any person who is used to the city or interests do not include the ones in Cooper will be outcasts and treated like dirt by the students, teachers, and the rest of the faculty. I am glad that I'm finally out of that school, and I plan on not having my own kids being tortured there like I was for the three years that I went there.

Cooper is a great school. We have a new High School and Junior High and they just broke ground on the new elementary. Our sports facilities rival much larger school districts as well.

The teachers have very little time or patience to spend with children with disabilities. The staff should be informed about children like this but they are not always given the information. Therefore, the child is the one who suffers. The principals are not communicating with the teachers.

The principals, superintendent, and school board need to get better knowledge of what is occuring in the schools. The need for better participation in discipline without mocking the students and/or parents.
