This is a public school that has/had some wonderful teachers. However, the lack of communication by the administration is frustrating. Dealing with parents at the school who seem to have only one goal and that is to punish teachers is another problem. This could be a great school, but some things need to change.
My daughter is in kindergarten and we both love Riverchase! There are always great things happening at the school. We helped put in a large garden, they are always doing after school activities, and really try to get everyone involved. This is a great public school! We are excited for first grade!!
DON'T EVER THINK ABOUT PUTTING YOUR CHILD IN THIS SCHOOL, I WENT TO EAT LUNCH WITH MY KID ONE DAY AND I FELT AS IF I WAS IN A PRISON.
this is a horrible school - my child has a learning disability and one of the teachers repeatedly made fun of the student; the principal didn't do anything about it (the teacher gets away with being a true BULLY)
Good school, depends on teacher, teachers are excellent for KG but need to improve with staff at desk, principal not impressive at all
I think Riverchase elementary school is an amazing school they have awesome teachers. For the past 4.5 years the entire staff has been very active in helpig children succed academically and emotionally. Kudos!!
I feel that Riverchase Elementary excels in providing and fostering an excellent environment in education for their students. The staff is highly qualified and educated in the top notch curriculm that is implemented throughout the school.
Staff is not very pleasant in talk and most of the time give hard time to parents and students as well. No communication what so ever.
No communication with the teacher and the new principle ms.williams is rude. They rather fail a student rather helping them with their education
i think Riverchase elementary school is an amazing school they have wonderful teachers and an amazing principal. they are so glad to help are children to succed to go on by preparing them.
Riverchase is a wonderful school. The entire staff is very caring of the student body and the parent involvement is outstanding! We love our school and the Riverchase family.
Very organized. Facilities are in very good condition. My impression is that students are happy and enjoy the school. Gifted and talented program is available, but not many activities related to this program. Overall a good school.
I am a new teacher at this school and am impressed with the staff, students, and parents. The school has been very receptive to new teachers and students. I love my students and love what I do.
We are impressed with the teachers in the first two years of my son's attendance at this school (1st and 2nd).
We have two sons who are attending this school. We would recommend this school. Great diversity and balanced teaching system
This is my daughters first year at Riverchase ES, we have had a wonderful time interacting with office personnel, teachers, tutors, school nurse plus her assistant and especially the principal. My daughter is a member of the choir and the art group, both keep her interest at a high level and has become a priority in our household. The location is excellent, the building in well thought out, the grounds are safe and secure, and the most important aspect is that the children seem confident in themselves.
I am somehow satisfied with the work load that my kids return home with as homework. I will like to see them more occupied after school with school homeworks rather than my personal assignments to them. They are brilliant kids and makes A's and honor roll's and I will like them to keep it that way. So please stress more on take home activities and homework.
Coming from Louisiana school's there is no comparison to what my daughter has learned at Riverchase Elementary. Every report card she has had nothing lower than an 'A'. What she is learning in the first grade is probably on a 4th grade level in Louisisana, not unless they attend a private school. But even then they are not learning as much! The only thing I do not agree with is not only happening at Riverchase but it is at all Texas schools, is that I believe they need more Physical Education than what they are getting. There are more over weight kids than ever and they need more than once or twice a week of Physical Education. I feel they should have it every day for an hour. Instead they are craming there heads for the TASKs test. Not only the Teacher should teach, the parent's needs to also!
My child went to the ESL program (English as a Second Language) at this school for a part-year (about 4 months) when we first came to USA, and within 2 months started speaking fluent English without much push at home at all. Next academic year she qualified for acceleration to a higher grade than her age, and subsequently went on to the best-gifted program in Texas. I attribute her success to the loving care and careful attention received at this school, which shaped up her communication and confidence immensely.
