There are no 5 star schools - because there are no perfect schools, churches, or homes in this fallen world. However, if you are looking for an excellent value with above average academics, excellent opportunities to be involved, loving/challenging teachers, and most importantly - an evironment where your child will have the freedom to learn about His Creator, grow in Christ, and be prepared for life - then Annapolis is for you. The seemingly money/fundraising focus is to involve all staff and teachers to keep the school viable and affordable. The last thing Annapolis wants to be is a snobby "rich only" private school. That would be the same hypocracy that turns so many away from our awesome God. Although not perfect, Annapolis is the best school we have found in Corpus Christi. (And we tried many)

Looks great on the outside, glad we experienced this school so we know the grass is not greener on the other side. Would advise to spend a day or two and see how the students and teachers interact with each other. A lot of the school staff is related and nothing is in confidence.

ACA is NOT all about the money. Tuition is VERY affordable for middle class families and costs well below other private schools in the area. They also give away a TON of tuition assistance every year (of which I am a recipient of that generosity). All school fundraisers go to help with scholarships. Also, I have four children in the school and the teachers are the BEST thing about the school: loving, professional, compassionate, hard working, and cheerful. I trust them completely with my children who have never reported feeling mistreated or disrespected. I have spent a lot of time on the campus and in the classroom and can attest that the teachers are ALL ABOUT GOD and teach about him and model exemplary Christian lives. The parent with the bad attitude below is obviously disgruntled but should check his/her own relationship with God before slandering others in a public forum.

Our children graduated from Annapolis and find themselves well prepared for college; both were automatically admitted and granted scholarships and grants to the university of their choice. Annapolis boasts a rigorous academic program, a quality fine arts program as well as an established athletic department. Annapolis helped our children become grounded in their faith and gave them the tools for a lifetime of learning. They have enjoyed participating in quality drama and music productions and competing on district and state championship athletic teams. While some may complain of homework, we valued the family time spent helping our children memorize Bible verses, multiplication tables and vocabulary words during their early years. In their later years, we saw them become competent to research and prepare impressive papers and oral presentations. Now in college, they realize that the workload in the high school years equipped them for success in college and beyond.

Being an alumni of ACA, the education I received their has enabled me to more fully understand the important things in life. This high school has also made college so much easier.

Annapolis Christian Acadamy is a good school to attend because you learn the aspects of literature, sciences and biblical world-view. It is a placeto expand your memory and knowledge. You gain wisdom and a good future. You also are challenged to learn. When you are learning the teachers help you love to learn. At Annapolis the student learns more than school. They learn how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I highly recommend ACA to those who seek a superior education and to equip their child to confidently navigate the world as a young adult. We chose this school because it is Christian and promotes a biblical world-view. Our two daughters attended from pre-K until 3rd grade, when we transferred out of state. The small class size enabled them to have a special relationship with each teacher, who knew their strengths & weaknesses and were able to nurture their personal, academic, and spiritual growth. This is a big difference from our public school. I was able to be intimately involved in every aspect of their classes & school activities, with teachers accessible on a daily basis. Each & every staff member from the principal to school board to teachers does their 'job' (ministry!) as unto the Lord.

My daughter went to ACA for 5 years and we really miss the school since we have moved. ACA is not just a private school, but a Christian school where they do their best to put Christ first in everything they do. The safety and discipline there are like no other school I have seen. The school was like an extension of our home and my daughter was so comfortable there. The expectations are high for all of the children. Using the classical model of education, the children reach for and achieve unbelievable goals. The only 'bad' thing about this is that it does mean that the kids have a lot of homework. There were many nights that we spent 2 hours or more doing homework and my daughter was only in second grade.
