My daughter attended this school before we moved from Corsicana, and she still remembers and misses Bowie. We definitely see the difference in the current school district she currently attends.

Bowie is a GREAT school! It was the most enjoyable school years i have had in a LONG time! The teachers,principal and staff cant get any better!

Bowie is an exceptional school that is very student centered. They create a base of learning nurtured with love and knowledge. They teach in a way that inspires a child to seek out knowledge. My child who, is not perfect, feels safe while being successful or not. Being a child is a journey of ups and downs, at Bowie a child is encouraged to have both. It all adds to a full learning experience.

Bowie is a great school with caring teachers and a warm atmosphere. The teachers are creative and the school seems to be doing many things well. The kids are motivated to do well by all the positive programs.

I would say that over all Bowie Elem. is a Great school. We have gone to another school close to Corsicana and compared to it Bowie stands alone. The Teachers at Bowie are fantastic and the parent involvement is outstanding. The new Principal to Bowie this school year(04-05) is wonderful. He has many new ideas and concepts that he has brought with him that has really made Bowie a great place to be.The Teachers and Staff are always their to answer any and all questions. Missey Evans

Teachers need to make it known when there is going to be a test, and tell the students at least two days before, the pages to study, and if giving a pop quiz, be sure that they have gone over the material priar to the tests! The teachers have no care for the students, and are knocking the students self esteem down by giving these tests without allowing the students to know ahead of time what to study for! Many parents have expressed their concern, but nothing is being done! Can you help? Or how do we parents address this, without causing further parent, and teacher problems?

Overall, Bowie is a good school. I think its curriculum has become very TEST driven often times leaving students frustrated with difficult concepts. The teachers definitely feel the pressure of the TAKS tests and this stress is relayed to the children. I know my child is often very frustrated with concepts that are vague but will be on 'the test.' Bowie has some wonderful teachers and great parent support. It would be nice if teachers and children didn't have 'the test' always looming over their heads and kids could be kids!
