I was a student at Miller Grove School. I easily made an 'A' with little study. When it was time for college, I struggled as the school was way behind the times technologically and academically. A few of the teachers are coaches and care more about sports and in some instances read tests aloud and provided the answers. In college, I had to learn how to study again and worked hard to once again become an 'A' student. For a much better education, send your kids to Sulphur Springs if possible. When it is time for college entrace exams, they will thank you!
The faculty and students are great here. Every day my child is out for a recess or two and has 45 mins of P.E. Every day! All students have music class once a week in the lower grades and in later grades they have the opportunity to take regular music classes. Sports are fairly limited but there are no short comings in what's offered and they athlete's excel. your child can participate in 4-H, FFA, Cub scouts, little dribblers and baseball teams to name a few. Personally I love Miller Grove because the teachers really care about their students and surround them with a positive uplifting learning atmosphere. I forgot that learning could be this way! Oh yes, the P.T.O. is very involved here and you're sure to find yourself very involved with your child here too!
Miller grove school is a small school which allows more one on one with the child and teacher.
