The Winston School is a perfect niche for bright children with learning differences. This college prep school provides the perfect environment for children to learn the way they need to learn. Winston - where each child stands out as a shining star and does not get lost as just another number.

Winston School is a wonderful school for children with learning differences. The personalized attention from the faculty gives students the hands on help they need to succeed. Great school and definately worth the cost of the education.
The Winston School teachers and adminstrators really put the students first. It is very obvious that the staff care about the students and families each and every day! The school has undergone some wonderful changes in technology, course offerings, adding the options of Academy level programs within the Upper School and the band!!! Kudos to the teachers and leaders for embracing change and offering students so many options.
The faculty and administrators of Winston have impressed me by the time, planning, and consideration that go into educating their learning different students. It is a challenge to help these bright kids learn the best way to absorb and process information, and to learn to advocate for themselves; Winston is meeting that challenge. And the roster of colleges and universities who accept Winston graduates is quite impressive! Yet there is that personal, small school atmosphere that makes Winston a real community. It has been, and continues to be, an educational haven for learning different students and their families.

school is not well worth it's price. Horrible school, huge waste of money, big mistake if you are looking into this school. Let me warn you the administration are very hypercritical and two faced. My son once over heard them talking about students and not saying very nice things. This school is a joke they do not live up to the standards they say they would upon admission. I should also mention the education there is a joke. My son found that he was far behind from public schools work because there education is not up to date or relevant to modern society. I'm not sure how any student who attends this school could make it in college(as well as life for that matter) with they're taught education. You would think when paying top dollar for a school they wouldn't allow cell phones. That's not the case here because they allow cell phones during class and listen to iPods/mp3 players. I don't see how this contributes to education as well. The Winston school makes everything look good on paper and they're website but you are in for a big surprise if you send your child here!

the school may have been a special place in the past, but today winston doesn't match it's premium cost. the administration in the lower school hires mediocre teachers with high degree of turnover. class sizes are small, but a liberal attitude allows inappropriate material for the grade level. when parents raise concerns on important issues, administration give lip service until pressed.

While no school is perfect, Winston is pretty close. My learning differenced son started Winston in 8th grade after many bad experiences in public school. Since coming to Winston, I've seen him grow academically and in confidence. I have to believe this is because the staff is dedicated not only to education, but to nuturing the kid's spirits. Thank you so much for all you all do.

The Winston School has proven to be the best choice I could have made as a parent. My daughter has excelled in terms that I never thought possible. Winston teachers are very professional and caring people. Winston is a place that offers our students ways to learn differently and a chance to succeed where other schools cannot. My child will be ready to attend a 4 year institution of higher learning when she graduates in May. She received a solid foundation to build upon. I cannot thank the staff and faculty of the Winston School.

My son spent five years at Winston and is now a freshman at Texas A&M. His success in college is a direct result of the preparation and positive self image that Winston gave him. No child starts at Winston but all are accepted when they arrive. The staff is very supportive of the kids despite their learning differences and strives to adapt to ensure the child's success. If you have a child that is not finding success at the school they currently attend and have a documentable learning difference, this is the school. They also have a wonderful independent and highly competent testing group housed at the school that can give parents and children the information they need to make this important decision. It was one of the three best decisions my child and I have made so far in life.

Our experience with the Winston School has been overwhelmingly positive. While the school is great in terms of programs, field trips, and parent involvement, it is the Teachers and Staff that make this school outstanding. Upon our first visit, we were struck by the amazing enthusiasm and genuine interest for each student. The focus on the individual and finding ways for each to succeed seems to be the driving force. Though this is just our second year, Winston has met and exceeded our expectations.

The school has been great for our son. All the staff go out of the their way for the kids. They are very focused on finding the kid's talents and offer many activities for them to explore. They are open with the kids about their differences and strengths. We have been very pleased.
