I've had my children at Rogers for the last few years and every year it just continues to get better. The staff and teachers take a genuine interest in the children's education and well being. Due to moving multiple times, I have dealt with Plano and Richardson school districts who have well known great reputations. They have way more resources and way more money to do things for the schools. Rogers might be way less in having the finicial resources to do things for the children, but where lacking they make up in geniune caring and desire to help these childrens lives and future in their education. My children soar in this enviroment and even though I have moved from the area now, its worth the drive time of 1 1/2 hrs a day to and back. All around great school and I feel lucky to have my kids attend.

Dan D. Rogers had it's problems in the past. But that's where the bad ends and the good begins. Placing #3 in Ball Room Dancing DISD wide, a very involved PTA with a reconstruction make over, Dan D Rogers is truly a school I am proud to have 3 children in. The truth in today's Dan D. Rogers is that these negitive reviews just don't aply. Check it out yourself today!

My son went to school here for 1 yr only...Thank goodness. Very economically challenged. School is falling apart. Student to teacher ratio is 25 to 1. It's a shame for the hard working teacher.

My daughter who's normally a social butterfly & couldn't wait to be in school hated this school. Initially, I thought wow- uniforms! I moved my daughter to another school after about 2 weeks of attendance. She just didn't seem to fit it. The school seems lacks luster. You've to walk into the campus to see what I'm talking about. It's one of the worst I've seen. I think the school was so bad that uniforms had to be mandated....

My son was doing badly at his old school. As soon as we moved in this area and he started going to Dan D. Rogers he has done great! His grades mostly A's with maybe 1 or 2 B's (on report card). We recently had to move and we stayed in the area just so we would not have to move him to another school.

Parents please [re]-consider sending your children to this school. It is too overcrowded. They removed one of the playgrounds to put portables all over the place. Anyone can walk into the school through any door at the school. It is not a school I feel that a child can reach their full potential with and I have decided to move out of this area just so that I can put my child in a better school.

Principal Mr. Jackson needs a great recognition for the hard work he has been putting on the improvement of his school. Mr. Jackson has brought uniforms to the school, improve the parking availability and the security of the school all around. I personally have thanked him for his notorious efforts to improve the education for our kids. That and many other incentives Mr. Jackson implements through his leadership have made the kids at Dan D. Rogers feel more confident about themselves and for the same token more productive. My family gives an 'A+' to Mr. Jackson's leadership. Carlos Lopez
