I went to this school in Elementary and recieved the best education possible. This school taught me so much in life. Not only in academics, but also self pride, and leadership. I was very fortunate! If I have children and the school is still standing, then my children will be attending this amazing school! :)
I went to this school when I was in the 5th grade. I had the best teacher in the whole world,Mrs.Moss. If she is still a teacher,please let me know. I loved this school. I am now 34 years old and remember, J.P. Starks was the best elementary school I've ever attended. I learned a lot and had great memories.
The principal, teachers and staff are 'outstanding!' They willingly go above and beyond their call of duty to promote the success of their students. They are extremely helpful and understanding when it somes to addressing any concerns of a parent. The faculty and staff are very dedicated to the schools mission and they are very aggressive about parent involvement for the success of the students. All things said, a school is 'only' as good as its leader-thanks to Mrs. Alpher Garrett-Jones for her dedication, love and all that she does!
My daughters have been attending J.P Starks for approximatly 3yrs. and my experience with the staff has been nothing short of outstanding professionalism. The principle at Starks Mrs. Garrette-Jones is the most attentive, no nonsense, and Observant Principal. I have been impressed with their style of teaching and their ability to communicate to children on every level. You know your child is attending a good school when the first thing they talk about when you pick them up is their Teachers and Principle everyday. That just lets me know they are doing great things.It's because of them my daughters can attend Magnet schools their Junior High years and beyond. So all you teachers at J.P Starks,pat yourselves on the back and take a bow, Your doing great things.
