I taught at Wallace years ago and am very involved there now as a parent. When you are at the school all the time you see the dedication and love for the students FAR BEYOND what is expected in a "job" from every teacher on staff and administration. Barbara Edwards is one of the most dedicated teachers I have ever seen ( she lives at WAllace after school and on the weekends) and our principle Debbie Evans is one that considers our school her mission and treats it with love, compassion and kindness that makes it home for our kiddos and for the families that entrust their children to their care! The key to knowing about what goes on at Wallace is to be involved - very involved and then it is evident that there is no better place to be than Wallace. I look forward to 7 more years there!
As a Wallace alumni and mother of 3 attendees, I can't say enough about how great this school, the teachers and the community involvement is there!
Due to its strong PTA and a great principal in Debbie Evans, Wallace is probably one of the best elementary schools in Dallas, outside of the Park Cities. Unlike those schools, however, Wallace has a diverse population, both in ethnicity and socioeconomics, which makes for a more well-rounded, and realistic, experience for my kids. Parent involvement is encouraged, and a spot there is high demand among RISD teachers.
We have an extrodinary group of teachers that truly care about educating students! Together with very strong parental involvement, including the PTA, and a wonderful campus in the heart of a lovely residential area, Wallace is the place to be. Congratulations on 50 wonderful years of educating in Lake Highlands!
the teachers, staff and parents are all wonderful and so supportive to make each child feel welcome and special; we love it!
Every single teacher is just so committed, engaging and talented. My chidren have said so many times through the years how much they enjoy this teacher and that teacher. Those teachers are wonderful!
Cannot say enough about how great Wallace is. My daughter has just started in Kindergarten and has settled in with great ease, thanks to the great support of the staff and PTA.
Amazing staff! Involved parents and active PTA. My children are thriving. Can't imagine being anywhere else!
Wallace has some of the most active parents in the area. It would not be the same without the parents encouraging the teachers and students.
We are all about building into the lives of each and every one of the children on our campus! We are a unified team with many talented and gifted adults who give so much of themselves!!! Go Wallace!
I love everything about Wallace! The principal is wonderful, the teachers don't get better than the teachers at Wallace. We have a fantastic PTA and wonderful families that support Wallace. I could not imiage my child in another school.
Wallace Elementary is a great community school because it is filled with a diverse student body, teachers and administrators who place a huge emphasis on motivating each student to learn. Go Wallace!
I loved Wallace when I went there in Elem. School and I love Wallace now that my kids are there. It's part of RISD, an awesome district! Wallace is a safe, warm, loving environment where my kids are getting the best education ever!! WE = Exemplary!
Wallace is a real community where the teachers and parents work together to make the school a great learning environment for the students.
Our PTA goes above and beyond with their support of our students and the teachers. The students give their best efforts and learn to make good learning choices. I cannot imagine being with any other school.
