This is a wonderful school.The teachers go far out and beyond for the kids, they make these kids feel loved and cared for no matter race,gender or sex. I relocated from Hurricane Katrina and I have never seen a staff like this my only reason for taking my kids out of this school is because I'm moving to Garland and I don't want to go through the changes of getting residence affidavits.

My son has gone here from K-2nd. Kindergarten was great, first grade seemed to be a repeat of K and so far 2nd is great. I guess it depends on the teacher.

My daughter was a student hear from K5-5th grade I must say that the teachers are very concern and believe in helping the children to be able to succeed. I have recently moved to garland and really miss this school alot because the teachers in that school only care about numbers.

Fabulous! I highly recommend this school for any parent with a child who struggles in school. Thanks to Aiken my child is an honor student which once seemed an impossible feat. Aiken teachers are in constant contact with parents and provide excellent tutoring for children who need extra help. Thank you Ms. Sebastian and all staff at Aiken for an awesome environment for children to learn and grow!

I do not like this school at all. The staff, teachers, and other parenets are very uncaring and seem tired of dealing with the kids.

Our family moved here last year from Indiana. We were supposed to enroll our son at Forest Lane Academy, however due to overflow, he had to attend Aikin, which is considerably further from where we live. He was withdrawn and upset about the move, however during the course of the year ( 3rd grade) he began to turn over a new leaf. His behavior improved and his attitude about school was wonderful. I contribute that the wonderful staff at Aikin Elementary, their willingness to help him adjust. From the counselor,teachers, and the principal, there are simply not enough words to express how glad I am that my son is a student at Aikin. I know he is getting the best possible education from a group of caring individuals who care about him and the level of education that he is receiving. Thank you all so much...(you know who you are!)
