Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School is a small inner city school. The school offers music class, sports, and various other activities. Parent involvement is not as high as possible but there is enough to make a difference.

Sending our son to Bishop Dunne Catholic High School has been the best move my husband and I have ever made. The atmosphere at Dunne is so warm and welcoming. Administrators, teachers and other parents are extremely caring and giving.

BD has been a blessing for us. Our two children have been there for 3 years and the experience has been more than positive. The academic environment is challenging; the teachers have high expectations for all students. The faculty all work to ensure student success and they are very caring.

I love this school It has really great faculty and no matter who you are you can fit right in. If had to attend high school over again I would come back without hesitation.

Bishop Dunne is an ethnically-diverse school with a 'hometown' kind of feeling. The students are friendly, the teachers well-trained. The principal, Kate Daley, is very proactive and constantly trying to provide better opportunities to the students. I have found her to be very responsive to questions or concerns. There are 20 or more AP classes available, and many extracurricular opportunities from men/women sports, band, drill-team, Youth for Christ, art & language clubs. Bishop Dunne is one of very few highschools nationally to offer GIS classes and hosts a national Geo-Tech Educators' Conference annually in the early spring. Any school takes a while when you're new, but the students and staff at Dunne are pretty welcoming and easy to get to know!

My children have flourished in this enviornment. They were exposed to Christian morals and a sound academic foundation thanks to the nurturing atmosphere. The challenging curriculum allowed my oldest child to receive a full scholarship and maintain her position on the Dean's list.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
