We have been part of ORLS since 2002 when we started our oldest in the PreK 4 program. Our son graduated from ORLS and our two daughters still attend there. The administration and faculty at Our Redeemer have been wonderful. Our children are nurtured and cared for beyond the bounds of teaching academics. Their spiritual and emotional growth and confidence as well as their academic growth has been phenomenal. In fact, recently, our son was diagnosed with a serious illness and we have received many emails and cards from the faculty of the school even though he graduated 4 years ago. Teachers are busy people but when they take the time to sit down and write a card or email out to support our family for a student who has long since passed - what more can you say? If anyone is looking for a loving, nurturing and academically challenging school, you must visit this school!

I have two children at Our Redeemer and we have been part of the school for 5 years. It is a loving and nurturing environment for both our girls and the art, music, and academic programs are outstanding. The teachers care about the growth of each student spiritually, academically and socially. Our children have thrived here and the parent involvement is excellent. The church helps the school financially and the fundraisers and generous donations help keep tuition low. Small class sizes, excellent academics, overall a great school!!!

Enrolling our son in third grade at ORLS was one of the best family decisions we have ever made. From the first time we visited this school, we felt the warmth and kindness from the faculty and staff. It was apparent that creating a loving, yet challenging, environment with a faith-based education is the goal at ORLS. My son is now in 5th grade and every teacher has been "his favorite teacher." As a parent, I love the communication between the teacher and class parents. The administration is always accessible and open and friendly. Our son is thriving academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Thank you ORLS!! We love you!

Children are free to learn, explore and grow in the loving and secure environment provided by all the principal, teachers, pastors and staff at ORLS. Teachers truly care about the children and go above and beyond to make sure each child achieves to their ability. The Spanish program that starts in kindergarten, the Latin program, the Garden, the Accelerated Reading program (which allows your child to read at his or her level), math placement based on ability, are just a few of the unique programs offered here. ORLS educates the whole child....academically, spiritually and socially. My children have been a part of this school for 5 years and I could not imagine having a better partner to help raise them than ORLS.

Our family considers Our Redeemer Lutheran School administration and staff as extended members of our family. Our kids love school. The fine arts program, the computer program, the Spanish program are all excellent examples of a well rounded curriculum created to help our children succeed.

We've had our kids at ORLS since they were babies and have seen them flourish academically, socially, and spiritually through the years. The teachers are outstanding and the leadership is very supportive and professional. Academics are very strong and the kids place in the top percentiles on standardized testing each year. The school promotes a loving and supportive environment for all of the students and it has been a blessing being able to send our children to ORLS. Highly recommended.

We love Our Redeemer Lutheran School! Our kids have been students there since they were two years old. Originally we had planned to just send them to the preschool because our public elementary was great. However, everyone at Our Redeemer was so warm and caring and our daughter was doing so well that we decided to go ahead enroll her in Our Redeemer's Kindergarten. Now both of our children are in the upper grades at Our Redeemer and doing extremely well. We love the individualized attention that the kids receive from the teachers. We are thrilled with the core academics (particularly math!) as well as the fantastic supporting classes (art, music, and computers). The best part is that everything is wrapped in a loving Christian environment. The principal is amazing - she knows each of the kids individually and is very supportive of the teachers. We also really appreciate the high degree of parental involvement - the parents are very engaged and actively support the education of their children. We truly feel that we are part of a great family here, and our children are getting a wonderful education.

So sad that this could be a good school except for the major amount of bullying and certain parent favoritism. Simply put if your child is a bully then this school is for you. I even think that the staff is bullied by some of the parents.. so sad because most of the staff is amazing

We have been beyond blessed by Our Redeemer Lutheran School (ORLS). The teachers and staff are incredible. They truly care for our son and family as a whole. Our son is gaining not only a strong education but a foundation of faith in a loving and nurturing environment. He is thrilled each day to go to school each day and we are thrilled to be part of the ORLS family.

Both of my children have attended ORLS, and their experience has been amazing. Our principal, teachers and staff are unparalleled in their desire to teach, nurture and minister to my children. The education, study and life skills--taught in a Christian environment- have prepared them for the challenges of jr high and high school. Their ability to navigate tough situations while keeping the moral truths instilled in them since they were two is priceless!

As soon as we toured, we knew this was the right school for our son. He started in Pre-K 3 and he has thrived at ORLS. Besides getting a great education; he has Chapel, Art, PE, Spanish and Music classes, and much more. From the 6th graders to Pre-K 2, this school has a great mentoring program. This school has become an extension of our family.

My daughter is 2 years old and this is her first time in a formal learning environment. When my husband and I toured ORLS we fell in love. The administration, the teachers, the classrooms, the library, the gymnasium and the chapel all exceeded our expectations. We toured two other facilities and they didn't even compare. Our daughter has never been to daycare or school and she took to the teachers in her class immediately and loves going to school every day! The teachers of PK2, Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Timberlake, are so loving and tender and at the same time encourage the kids to be independent. That is just what a parent hopes for their child. Each Friday I'm so excited to get the weekly email from the teacher going over what they learned during the week and what they will cover the next week. My daughter's vocabulary has skyrocketed and she is maturing leaps and bounds since being enrolled in ORLS. Being new to the school we have felt like the administration makes every effort to welcome you to the ORLS family. We have attended most of the school events and have noticed that there is so much parent and family participation. I would absolutely recommend ORLS for any age!

My daughter is so happy in this school that on days that she doesn't attend she tells me she misses it. She absolutely LOVES her teacher and I, too, think she is pretty wonderful. It is a very nurturing environment and I feel confident that my child will learn a lot here.

Our Redeemer is a nurturing school that provides strong academics in a small setting. It also provides art, Spanish, music and sports.

The small class size promotes academic excellence, but so many more life skills! Nearly every teacher, aid and administrator addresses our daughter on a first name basis. The nurturing environment helps instill confidence and aids in shaping her future. Experienced teachers help build her strong foundation. In addition it's an afordable option, and as a bonus - centrally located! Our daughter loves school and looks forward to learning each day. You can t ask for more than that.

Precious school with a top notch faculty and staff. My son is in the preschool program at Our Redeemer, and I really cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. At the end of the day, I think a school comes down to its teachers - the ORLS faculty genuinely cares about their students growth and development. They go the extra mile to make those challenging life stages seem welcomed and appreciated. They accommodate when accommodating is necessary and value parent feedback and involvement. They strive to make the transition from home to school a smooth one. They provide sensory learning and plenty of playtime and lots of love. ORLS is developmentally appropriate and values a kids being a kid. I love it and my son loves it. I agree with a previous reviewer who called the school, a "hidden gem." It is. It is just that.

This is our fourth year in the school we cannot be more pleased. The quality of the education is unsurpassed and the teachers are amazing. I have been so impressed with the principal, teachers and staff ability to deal with parents, grandparents and children with integrity and focus on doing the "right" thing. This is an excellent school that focused on teaching the whole children so not only are academics excellent but also daily life values and morals are emphasized. We could not ask for a better place to have our children. The tuition is so reasonable!

This is my daughter's second year here- I am happy with what she is learning in Kindergarten. They have great materials and she seems to be making lots of progress learning to read. It is nice that she learns about reading and writing as well as having the time to learn about the bible and have "Jesus time" everyday. I am not as impressed with some of the administrative things at the school. Most staff are wonderfully sweet and nice, but the principal can be very gruff at times which has been a real turn off for me. There is a lot of "fund-raising" and asking for money and things -which I'm sure happens at a lot of schools- but sometimes it feels excessive. Also the school programs (i.e. spring musical, Christmas pageant) are a bit of a disappointment. Last spring musical they crammed PK-2nd grade onto a small stage (you

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
