If you're thinking about going to Levine Academy, think again. It's a clique and outsiders are not easily welcomed. The administration is very unfriendly and unorganized.

Terrible and fake atmosphere. Few children in class that will not welcome anyone new. All children are raised to complain on each other and are raised with no ability to stand up for themselves. Poor teaching tactics, they will not work with your child unless your child is a robot that will sit quite and will not interact with anyone.

Levine isn't a great Jewish Day School. Its a great school that happens to be a Jewish Day School. We have one child in the Lower School and two childen in the Middle School and all three are getting exemplary educations -- with the added bonus of building the foundation for their Jewish identity. The best way to judge a school is to look at the graduates. Levine Academy students feed into the best high schools and colleges in the country and, even more importantly, they grow up to be successful, morally upstanding citizens in the community. What else could you ask for as a parent?

Excellent education. The teachers take a personal interest in each child. The academics are challenging and creative.

The education was excellent. The people were not so friendly.

Levine is perfect if your child is exactly average. If your child is above average or has any type of learning difference, Levine is terrible. In fact, they have no idea what to do with your child in these cases. The teachers are ill-equipped and completely unwilling to help. They tell you the issues, but don't have any recommendations on how to fix these issues. There are much better private schools in Dallas that cost the same money. Levine is comparable to an average public school. Above average public schools are much better than Levine. I definitely would not recommend this institution.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
