Handles bullying effectively: Strongly disagree

- a
This school does not take bullying seriously. My student was SCARRED for years after being bullied repetitively at Grace Academy, even though the bullying was brought to the teachers' attention when it started. The teachers did not confront the bullies or their parents. Bullies are not held accountable at this school.

Supports LD students: Strongly disagree

- a
The teachers do not address an academically challenged student's need for additional homework on an individual basis. If a slow learner needs more homework to learn the material, the teacher unfairly makes the ENTIRE CLASS do the extra homework, even the high achievers. That makes the students resent the slow learner. The teacher does whatever is most convenient for the teacher, not what is in the best interest of the students.

Effective school leaders: Strongly disagree

- a
While wonderful people, the leadership does not appear to be in touch with the health of classroom social environments for the students. That renders them ineffective in improving the environment.

Develops character: Strongly disagree

- a
Bullying is a serious problem at this school, is not taken seriously or properly addressed. This school does not develop integrity, compassion or respect, and it drains the bullying victims' self-confidence.

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly disagree

- a
The teachers do not consider the best interest of their students when making classroom decisions. They do whatever is most convenient.

Amount of homework: Strongly disagree

- a
If ONE student needs more homework to understand the material covered (slow learner), they make the entire class do the extra homework.

While the headmaster and main office administration were wonderful, my student's experience at the school was terrible! Grace Academy needs to learn how to stop bullying at school. The 5th and 6th-grade teachers, in particular, need to learn to take school bullying seriously. Bullying has a lasting impact on the victims' well-being for years. While the school holds a fun anti-bullying fundraiser, the teachers need serious bullying education and a strict detailed process to follow to address each bullying incident. The bullies need to be held accountable and so do the teachers! Bullying at Grace Academy SCARRED my student! The teachers allowed it to happen. To say that I regret sending my student to Grace Academy is an understatement.

I feel Grace is really a little hidden gem among Christian schools in Dallas. We sort of found it by accident for our youngest child, and were absolutely thrilled with the level of academics we found. The teachers were really exceptional- very creative and inspiring. The administration were so kind and helpful, it's just a very sweet, safe environment for children, with excellent teaching. Our older children had been in several other more well known Christian schools in Dallas, but I believe that Grace was my favorite. My child felt very loved at Grace

Wonderful school. Great families and teachers. I would highly recommend Grace Academy to families looking for an affordable private school with a challenging curriculum. My child loves school and can't wait for the new year to begin.

My child has been a student at Grace since being enrolled when she was in PK3. I can honestly say that having been part of another "back in the day prestigious Christian private school", this move has been the most rewarding experience ever. The administration and teachers are awesome. The combination of parent/teacher involvement along with the education and emphasis on Jesus Christ definitely shines through in the students. My child could not be happier at Grace.
