My daughter and son attended MSND and we loved it. The environment was warm and friendly and the educational program is excellent. The teachers are eager to develop a relationship with both the children and their parents, working together to ensure your child has a positive school experience. I was exceptionally pleased with the educational program in that I was looking for more then just a day care when I chose MSND.

This school is not a kid-friendly place. My child told me his teacher said: "no one likes me and I have no friends," "I'm bad," "I don't have a good brain," and my teacher pulled my ear, among other things. When confronted, the director said something to the effect of "you know every teacher has kids they aren't compatible with" The teachers and staff cannot deal with any child who does not fit into their mold. They have education in the montessori method, but not in child development. For this kind of money, they should all have associate's degrees AT LEAST. While the tuition isn't that much higher than a lot of schools, they require a deposit of first and last month's tuition each summer and every school year. Registration is 150 every summer and every school year. The family and their business entities combined own about half a dozen schools. If I wanted a big business for my child, I would have chosen a corporate school with rules and standards. This school doesn't have that - they have two directors who are mother and daughter and rule over the teachers with an iron fist but can't and won't communicate with parents.

My son attended this school from the time he was about 20 months old until he was 3.5 yrs. Overall I thought the teachers were sweet, caring, and qualified. However, about the time he was 3.5 yrs, there was a huge turnover of staff members and the enviorment was visibly tense. I also believe the class sizes are way too large. In my son's 3-6 yr class, there were more than 25 children most days with 2 teachers. This ratio might be ok for 6 year olds but with 3 year olds that still need help washing their hands, going potty, doing table work, and other activities 12:1 student to teacher ratio is stressful and chaotic for the teachers and the students. The academic aspect of the school was fine and the children do have a well-rounded program throughout the day (computer, outdoor play, crafts, etc). But everyone from the administrative staff to the teachers seemed on edge and tense. It didn't seem like the staff had a positive, supportive relationship with the directors/owners. The school is fine program-wise but I just felt the environment wasn't as warm and nurturing as I would want my childrens' school to be.Very limited parental involvement compared to other schools.

I love this school. My son goes to school at MSND and is so happy. He has blossomed from a shy, reserved child to become so outgoing we often have the stop him from talking to strangers! He has also learned so much and is reading books now at 4 years old. It is impressive to see how nurturing and loving the teachers are and how they have truly helped my child reach his potential!! The front office staff and director are always there to address any concerns we have as well as make sure that our days go smoothly. We could not have made a better choice for our son.

MSND has been a wonderful educational experience for my daughter. I am so happy that we chose to send her here. She has grown so much educationally, emotionally, and socially. The director and staff have helped so much to make sure that she has excelled. The staff all love working at the school. The management (director) offers a great support structure to her staff and it shows in how happy they are to work at MSND.

This school has been the best place we have found. We are so happy with the staff and director. We did a lot of research before choosing MSND and found that more often than not the schools were did not meet our standards for a safe and quality environment for our 2 daughters. The staff have been wonderful and we are so excited for the progress we are seeing. My wife has meet so many other parents with the assistance of the front office staff and we have already had several playdates. I highly recommend this school and would tell any perspective parents to ask lots of questions at the school as well as get references from other parents as this school is one the best in Dallas!

My husband and I believe that MSND is probably the top Montessori school in the Dallas Market. The leadership (director) of the school is second to none with a wealth of experience and Masters degree level education. There is plenty of communication on how our children are doing and progressing. We have two children who attend and the growth in their learning abilities and overall life skills has been amazing. Would highly recommend MSND.

MSND has been a wonderful school for my son over the past 2 years. The teachers are fantastic and he is definitely more advanced than his peers in a traditional setting. The only drawbacks are the director (she is not a very warm person and she does not treat her staff with much respect), the lack of indoor play space and the lack of extracurricular offerings during the year and during the summer. Overall, I feel very comfortable with MSND, the staff, the quality of education and how far my son has come in the past 2 years.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
