At first this school was exellent, that's what I think. But I think that in my three years that i have been in this school, it has very good teachers. right now I'm kinda mad that there is not going to be no ninth and tenth grade next year:(
This school is, sadly, falling apart. Administration has utterly lost focus of supporting its teachers and students, and has driven away its most talented, dedicated teachers in droves. The teacher turnover rate at this school is very high for a reason -- a micromanaging, inconsistent, unreliable administration which does not value its teachers. Unfortunately, this turnover rate affects the students more than anyone else, most of whom are in desperate need of the very kind of individuals persecuted by administration.
enrolling my kids in this school was one of the best things that l've done everyone is real nice teachers are great and the principal is the best and very profesional. they actually listen to you when you have a problem and help you find a solution, they really care about the students
I like it being a small school and the kids get to do their work using different types of learning technics.
This school is good for parents. They ok with you leave kids when they are sick so you can work. nurse will call if they have too much fever but if just a little sick they get to stay all day. if you need to go on vacation they dont count kids absent so no worry on truancy coming to you house. only thing is some teachers try to disturb parent to much at work
This school used to be great, but in the past few weeks/ months has really fallen apart. The administration seems to micromanage everything, they are losing key leaders and the morale is at an all time low.
This school has high teacher turn over, teachers are always leaving. Also there are very limited electives due to the small size of the school. No AP classes, so if your child wants to get ready for college, it is best to get them tested for Townview.
This school has excellent teachers! I have never seen such dedication!! The principal is very open minded and always willing to go that extra mile for his school. I couldn't think of a more perfect school than SLAS. The students are excited to learn and the parents are just as excited!
I love this school. I think it pays more attention to its students. It is better than DISD. My kids love the school.
