POOR POOR- This school with a total of 60-70 students from kinder-12 should be an above average or exemplary school. The school is very political, with total discrimination of children that have special needs (iep) or below average. We have a board that can not seem to see below their nose. Sad that even some of our present and former board members have their child(ren) in homeschool or enrolled in another county due to the lack of education, empathy, compassion and discrimination of certain students. There is no longer an open door policy; of which makes me question what they are hiding. ?? Finances is one part of the pie, students are the other. Sad Staff can run a muck w/cell phones and dress inappropriate yet the students are shunned. and what happen to mentoring the children. A principal that can bluff the staff; yet degrade a parent until they are exhausted. A Superintendent is what is says. TO BE SUPER! You would think she would wake up and wonder and ask why so many kids are homeschooled or going elsewhere! Too Bad, this school has the potential to be the BEST school in TX.
Terrible Admn/Superintendent/School This school is a very small school and you would think that it would be a great productive school...NOT... This school is very politically oriented, such as making examples of children w/low self esteem or gpa... Negative discipline....no time to listen and work w/parents to the point the parents are exhausted and do not want to make an effort. A board that has no belief in the school so much so, that their children are going to other schools or home schooled. Their Special Ed is non existent...they claim to back the spec ed... but they do not. The S.I. only cares of her pay and will not see that children are pulled out because the school discriminates w certain children and parents....SAD SAD SAD
When my son was in Dell City HS he loved it. The teachers, principal, and staff are polite, curtious, and always keep the parents informed.
This is a awful school. Our experience led to a K/1/2 class combination with a obsessive compulsive, rude, incompetent teacher who was not aware of the curriculum and was over working the children. The reading classes are combined with the ESL students and the teacher conducted the class in mostly Spanish. I would say 90% of the class was ESL students, leaving the English speaking students lost. The principal is negligent and turns a blind eye to these issues. My child was harrassed for her medical condition by her teacher and I ultimately ended up home schooling my young child until we moved. A fact that should be considered before enrolling your child is that there are members of the school board who do NOT even send their children to this school. They either send them to a DIFFERENT school or home school. PARENT BEWARE!
