My two daughters have both attended Mayes for the past 3 years. We love the school and the staff! The teachers have always worked hard to make each of the girls' learning experiences unique and fun. Mr. Hoy has always inspired the girls to want to put forth their best efforts. I have been very pleased with Mayes. Julie Tully

The 2006-2007 school year was atypical of our experience at Mayes. Parents have shared stories with me including inconsistent discipling of students, teacher's not listening to student concerns. Principle Hoy has been unresponsive to parents concerns. Let us all hope 2007-2008 school year will see the return of a focus on the STUDENTS at Mayes.

During the most trying times in my life and my daughters life the principal and the DISD has been there for both of us. We love Denison and Mayes is the place that I want my daughter to attend!! Go Mustangs!

Mayes has teacher support for the children and has wonderful apecial ed teachers. Parents are encourage to participate in childrens day

Mayes has been a great school for my daughter. This was her first full year at school and I new from the beautiful face that greet you at the door that she is in good hands. So I say thank you to the the staff at mayes elementary for the comfort I have in leaving my daughter invery capable hands. She comes home everyday with someting new to share with her family.

This school has the most lovable, caring, and concerned yet fun, exciting and challenging teachers that I have ever experienced. Everyone works together and is always willing to go the extra mile. I'm very impressed with their exceptional safety measures and their strive for excellence for every child.
