My daughter has attended for two years and my son for kindergarten. I could not have asked for a better Kindergarten teacher than Mrs. Smith. She was attentive, patient, and taught very well. My daughter's teacher experimented a little with different teaching methods, such as having organized seating, having

While highly regarded in recent years, this school is characterized by a high turnover of faculty and staff. Both the principal and assistant-principal were new for the 2005-2006 school year, as was the kindergarten teacher to whom our child was assigned. In addition, the student body is transient. Newton Rayzor caters to the needs of families and students who will be in the area for a few ears at most, while ignoring the concerns and input of homeowners who have invested in the neighborhood. When the pricipal would not consider placing our child in another classroom, we relinquished ties with this school. Private tuition is a challenge for us, but worth the price for our child's well-being. As Newton Rayzor is bursting at the seams, it is unlikely that our departure caused a ripple.

Our son spent a total of three weeks at this school and we could not have been more horrified at his experience. Not only did I encounter resistance every day when I would drop him off at school he would report every night about how other children would hit and throw things - all when the teacher was around. My husband spent a whole day at school with our son and could not believe how inattentive the teacher was with the whole class. At one point leaving the class for an hour in the hands of the two parents (one my husband) who were volunteering that day. My husband reported glass on the playground among other safety hazards. Very unsatisfactory.

Wonderful school, the teachers and staff are great and the parents are really involved. The children love this school, they seem to be more of a one on one school. The school has a wonderful bilingual program. The volunteer rate seems to be going up. I am only a second year parent to this school, but it has been one of the best that I have been to. I would recommend it to anyone with children.
